Citizen-Centered Health is a new clinical department established January 1, 2026 as part of the Health Reform. From January 1, 2027 we will consolidate the responsibility for emergency nursing, health and care units and patient-oriented prevention.

Our task is clear: To bring advanced nursing, treatment and assessment very close to the citizen's everyday life, and create equality in health and coherence across hospital, municipality and general practice.

In the transformation, the Regional Emergency Nursing will play a central role, and you will have the opportunity to:

• work closely with the citizen, the municipality and general practice – and with OUH backing
• gain real clinical autonomy and influence over decisions
• be involved in shaping workflows, culture and professional direction from day one.

You will become part of a unified unit, across the Funen municipalities, with base at the Health and Care Hubs in Svendborg and reporting to the management of Emergency Nursing.

Your role

You will become a central clinical actor in the close-to-the-citizen health system and will among other things need to:

• handle acute and sub-acute tasks in the citizen's own home
• conduct independent clinical assessments and initiate treatment
• work closely with doctors on diagnostic assessment and treatment plans
• help prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and support earlier discharges
• ensure coherent patient pathways across sectors
• be a professional sparring partner for colleagues – both by phone and in person

We are looking for you who

• have solid experience from e.g. municipal emergency nursing, emergency reception, intensive care, anesthesia or home care (i.e., you do not need to have the specialist qualification)
• are comfortable with independent clinical decisions – even when things are fast-paced
• are motivated to help build something new in close collaboration with colleagues and management
• have strong clinical observation and assessment skills
• are able to build trust with citizens and partners

Employment terms and application

These are permanent positions of 37 hours per week on mixed shifts.

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of base pay, centrally set allowances and pension in the Health Cartel – Agreement 32.17.1.

In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.

Starting salary for positions in Region Southern Denmark

A category B driving license is required

Start: 1. December 2026
