About the job
Are you an experienced nurse who thrives on clinical decisions, complexity, and independence in acute care?
Would you like to be among the first to shape a completely new regional function, with strong professional backing from OUH?
Then you have a unique opportunity: We are building the Regional Acute Nursing Fyn in Borgernær Sundhed at OUH and are seeking nurses who want to be involved from the start.
Why choose Borgernær Sundhed
With us you don’t just get a job – you get a central role in building the new close-to-home health system.
Borgernær Sundhed is a new clinical department established January 1, 2026 as part of the Health Reform. From January 1, 2027 we will consolidate responsibility for acute nursing, health and care beds and patient-facing prevention. Our task is clear: To bring advanced nursing, treatment and assessment close to the citizen’s daily life, and to create equity in health and continuity across hospital, municipality and general practice.
In this transformation, the Regional Acute Nursing plays a central role, and you will have the opportunity to
- work closely with citizens with the municipality and general practice – and with OUH behind you
- gain real clinical autonomy and influence on decisions
- help shape workflows, culture and professional direction from day one.
You will become part of a unified unit across the Funen municipalities, based at the Health and Care Beds in Odense and reporting to the functional leadership for Acute Nursing.
Your role
You will become a central clinical actor in the close-to-home health system and will, among other things, need to:
- perform acute and subacute tasks in the citizen’s own home
- conduct independent clinical assessments and initiate treatment
- collaborate closely with doctors on diagnostics and treatment plans
- contribute to preventing unnecessary hospital admissions and support earlier discharges
- ensure coherent patient pathways across sectors
- be a professional sparring partner for colleagues – both by phone and in person
We are looking for you who
- have solid experience from e.g. municipal acute nursing, accident reception, intensive care, anesthesia or home nursing (i.e., you do not need to have a specialist qualification)
- are comfortable with independent clinical decisions – even when things move fast
- are motivated to help build something new in close collaboration with colleagues and management
- have strong clinical observation and assessment skills
- can build trust with citizens and partners
Professional development – not just a promise
You will be part of an environment where development is built into everyday life
- systematic competence development in acute nursing
- close sparring with colleagues and medical support
- active participation in developing new workflows and solutions
- opportunity to influence future practice – locally and regionally
Terms of employment and application
There are permanent positions of 37 hours per week in mixed shifts.
The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be told base salary, centrally set allowances and pension in the Health Cartel – agreement 32.17.1.
In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
