About the job

We are looking for you who are skilled at modeling and working with data. You want to build the data foundation for the city\'s swimming pools, sports facilities, cultural centers and cemeteries. You contribute data to the business, providing insight into how daily operations can best develop. Does that sound exciting? Then become our new colleague in the Business Development team in Facilities in the Culture, Leisure and Citizen Service Administration.

Who are we?

In Business Development we support and develop Facilities\' many areas of operation – from swimming pools and sports facilities to cultural centers, cemeteries and the city\'s blue parks. We work closely with and alongside operations. We translate strategic goals and concrete needs into solutions that work in everyday life. Our tools are data, new technology, investment cases and new ways of working.

We are a cross-disciplinary team of about eight employees, who are specialists, project managers and development profiles, where we have freedom with responsibility, good opportunities for sparring, flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work days.

About the position

You will help build and model the data foundation for Facilities itself. You work across the entire chain: From raw data in professional systems, sensors and central registers, over the data model to the analysis or dashboard a operations manager makes decisions from. It includes energy and consumption data, visitor numbers, building and asset data, condition assessments and maintenance.

You must also be business-oriented as well as support and develop our operations. It can, for example, be by illuminating a concrete issue with numbers, creating an overview of an area or testing a new data source together with leaders and employees in operations. Our tasks are anchored in Facilities\' own operation areas, and we work closely with colleagues across the department who are responsible for the shared platforms.

Some tasks will be clearly defined, while others start with a question, where you must define the problem yourself, find the relevant data, involve the right colleagues and drive the work forward toward a solution.

Your main tasks will be

  • build and model the data foundation for the center\'s facilities, activities and consumption
  • deliver analyses, decision bases for operations and the center\'s management
  • develop and maintain end-to-end machine learning pipelines
  • prepare investment cases and follow up on the gains they are supposed to create
  • test and implement new technology and new ways of working together with operations.

Is that you?

We expect that you

  • have a relevant educational background, e.g., within data, IT, engineering, economics or a quantitative social science education
  • have basic knowledge of Python and SQL and preferably experience with machine learning packages such as Scikit-Learn
  • can translate between operations, data and technology and understand that an analysis only creates value when it is used
  • work independently, take responsibility and drive your tasks forward
  • have experience with data modeling and can design data models from large datasets
  • can present data visually and purposefully, preferably with experience from Power BI or similar
  • have an eye for data quality and documentation so that the solutions can be used and maintained by others than yourself
  • are a good communicator in writing and speaking and collaborate constructively across disciplines and levels.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of graph databases or semantic data modeling, have worked with one or more data platforms such as e.g. Databricks or Microsoft Fabric, MLflow, Azure Cloud or have worked with building and property data, supply data or sensor data.
