Consultant for the Data Unit at Herlev and Gentofte Hospital

Herlev and Gentofte Hospital seeks a consultant for the Data Unit, who will help strengthen our work with management information as well as activity and capacity analyses.

The Data Unit is part of the Finance Department and consists of eight skilled and experienced colleagues. We deliver analyses and insights to the hospital's clinical departments and management and contribute to creating an overview of activity, capacity, and development across one of Denmark's largest hospitals.

In addition to the Data Unit, the Finance Department consists of a Budget Unit and a Planning Unit with a total of 44 employees.

Job content

As a consultant in the Data Unit you will contribute to ensuring that the hospital's management and clinical departments make decisions on a solid data foundation regarding activity, capacity and resource use. You will work with analyses of activity, patient pathways and capacity utilization and translate data into decision support and concrete insights.

The tasks range from idea development and data handling to communication and implementation, and also include the development of data models in the Region Hovedstaden's data and analytics platform. You will have a broad collaboration surface with clinical departments, the hospital's management, other administrative staffs and other partners in connection with analyses, projects and planning tasks.

The work tasks will be within the following areas

• Serving 3-4 clinical departments regarding activity and resource questions
• Model development and data processing in the Data and Analytics Platform
• Development and maintenance of the hospital's management information
• Activity and resource management
• Capacity analyses and analyses when there are changes in hospital activity
• Cross-staff collaboration

You will work in a modern data environment based on Databricks, Tabular Editor and Power BI supported by AI for our model development and data processing.

You will report to the unit head of the Data Unit and will, in your daily work, collaborate broadly across the entire organization.

Our expectations of you

You thrive on analyzing large data sets and translating the results into clear management information and concrete recommendations. The Data Unit functions as a service function for the entire hospital. You must therefore be service-minded and able to engage in dialogue with other professional groups at different levels in the organization.

You have experience with analysis and data processing, and you have a higher education degree. Knowledge of the health care sector is not a requirement, but an advantage. We expect that you:

• Possess a well-developed analytical sense and can handle complex data
• Have experience with analytical tools such as Power BI, SQL, SAS or similar
• Can contribute professionally to developing the unit's task solutions
• Can contribute to a good working environment

The position is 37 hours per week, and you will be employed either under the collective agreement for academics employed in regions, etc., or under the collective agreement for administration and IT staff, etc. Your primary workplace will be Gentofte Hospital. A portion of meeting activity at Herlev Hospital must be expected.
