Influence data-driven decisions at Birch Ejendomme

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist for our Strategy & Transactions team, where the complexity is high and the data volumes are significant. You report to our Investment Director and join a close, daily collaboration with our BI team and the rest of the business, where you assemble analyses and identify trends that contribute to the company's decision basis.

From data analysis to commercial decision-making power

As part of the team you help support new projects with solid data. You will be based at our office in Silkeborg, where you work with data analyses, municipality and rent analyses as well as data models across a broad portfolio of property projects.

Your key areas of responsibility will be to

• Spot trends and patterns in market and demographic data before they become evident to others, and translate them into commercial insights
• Develop, assemble and maintain internal data analyses and models, including municipality and rent analyses for use in project development and due diligence
• Prepare dashboards and decision-making foundations that support the team's and management's work
• Collect, process and visualize data so that they become operationally usable for the organization
• Support automation and streamlining of data-driven workflows in the department
• Ensure data quality and validation of the data that underpins decisions

You have broad cross-functional exposure in the organization and are in ongoing dialogue with the departments you deliver data and analyses to – including Project Development, Leasing and Marketing.

A data enthusiast with commercial sense for patterns and trends

Your professional background may vary, and you may come from a position as data analyst, BI consultant or from a similar analytical and business-oriented function. The key is that you have solid commercial understanding and a curiosity to understand the connections between data and business.

We expect that you have

• minimum 2 years of experience and a postgraduate education at master’s level, for example within computer science, mathematical economics, statistics, econometrics or engineering science, or a related quantitative education
• experience with data- and business analysis, but if you are earlier in your career, we value motivation, analytical mindset and commercial curiosity just as highly
• knowledge of at least one BI/visualization tool and experience with data modeling and building dashboards
• experience with retrieving, compiling and quality-assuring data across multiple sources
• experience with working with external registers and market data, e.g., Data Distributor/BBR, Statistics Denmark and municipality/rental data, but this is not a requirement
• knowledge of Python, SQL or R for more advanced analysis, but this is not a requirement
• a good numerical understanding and the ability to handle, analyze and compile data sets
• good visual and graphical communication skills as well as strong Danish and English communication, both spoken and written
