We are therefore looking for a team leader who can navigate complexity without making it more complicated. A leader who can create direction, develop people and ensure that important operational tasks are solved with the right quality.

A job that first and foremost is about people

You will lead around 26 employees within Property Management and Facility Management.

Some have worked in the field for many years. Others are newer forces. What they have in common is that they contribute every day to ensuring that the municipality’s buildings function for citizens, employees and users.

Your most important task will not be to be the most skilled technical specialist. Your most important task will be to bring out the best in others; to create motivation and engagement. To set a direction when priorities are difficult. To develop a strong sense of community, where employees succeed together.

You will become part of a strong leadership community

As a team leader you will be part of the leadership team in Operations and Maintenance together with four other team leaders and the department head.

We believe that the best solutions are created in collaboration. Therefore we expect you to contribute with your own perspectives and actively support the overall development of the department.

Your most important tasks

You will among other things

• lead and develop around 26 employees
• create well-being, engagement and professional development
• ensure stable and effective operation of the municipality’s buildings and facilities
• prioritize resources and tasks in a complex daily life
• work with occupational health and safety, sick leave and competence development
• contribute to digitalisation and development of workflows
• support collaboration with institutions, users and other partners
• contribute to succession planning and knowledge transfer in the organization. Operations and Maintenance is this year actively working to retain knowledge and competencies in connection with the generational shift among employees

Who are you?

We do not expect you to know everything. But we do expect you to be able to lead.

You have likely experience with people management and may come from property management, facility management, technical service, the crafts sector or another operations organisation.

About Operations and Maintenance

Operations and Maintenance is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the municipality’s buildings, green areas, roads, paths and other operational tasks across Holbæk Municipality. The department works every day to create well-functioning frameworks for the municipality’s citizens, employees and users.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is full-time.

Salary and terms of employment are set according to the applicable collective agreement and the principles of Ny Løn (New Pay).

The workplace is primarily Parallelvej 52, 4300 Holbæk, but the area of responsibility covers the entire municipality.
