About the job

TAARNBORGHUS IS SEEKING A NIGHT GUARD – for the awake night shift position.

For a social-psychiatric residential care home §107 for people with trauma and self-harm.

Do you want to be close to people, work professionally with complex issues and contribute to development in everyday life? Then you might be the one we are looking for.

We are looking for a pedagogue or other relevant professional group for Taarnborghus

Full-time awake night shift position with 12-hour shifts every 2 weeks. from 20:00 to 08:00

Start: As soon as possible.

About Taarnborghus

Taarnborghus is a small social-psychiatric residential facility located in Asnæs, close to public transport, school and shopping.

We are a small unit with room for 6 residents in a communal-like living arrangement. Here residents have their own room and share a bathroom and common areas.

We place great emphasis on Taarnborghus feeling more like a home than an institution. Therefore the relationship, respect and each resident's history are an important part of our everyday life.

Residents should be involved in their own life and have as much self-determination as possible. We base our approach on the individual’s wishes, resources and opportunities and support the development toward the greatest possible independence. This can relate to everyday life, social relationships, education, work or other dreams and goals that are meaningful for the individual.

We work with people in complex life situations. Many of our residents have had a difficult upbringing and live, among other things, with trauma, PTSD, psychological challenges and self-harm.

We want employees who can set themselves aside and dare to challenge their own professionality. We are therefore looking for colleagues with the right mindset and a big heart.

Our professional approach

We work, among other things, from CHIME and Open Dialogue and have a strong focus on recovery, citizen involvement and developing each resident's own resources.

We believe that development does not necessarily occur in a straight line. Sometimes it moves forward, other times you take a step back. The important thing is that we keep being curious about what makes sense for the individual, and how we best can support without taking over.

We hold monthly staff meetings, which are often combined with training and education in our methods and approaches or talks from professionals on relevant topics.

We prioritize that our employees continuously receive courses, instruction and opportunities for professional development, so that we can together become more skilled and create a shared understanding of working with trauma and the life situations our residents face.

We are looking for you who

  • Have experience from social psychiatry
  • Have trauma understanding and preferably experience with a trauma-informed approach
  • Have experience with – or interest in – self-harm
  • Work recovery-oriented
  • Have knowledge or are curious about CHIME and Open Dialogue
  • Focus on resident involvement and participation in decision-making
  • Have experience with or knowledge of VUM 2.0
  • Are strong in social professional documentation
  • Can prepare professionally well-founded status descriptions for the municipalities
  • Can work purposefully on residents' development of their own resources, home training, education, work etc.
  • Have a driver's license

We do not expect you to know everything. But we expect you to be curious, reflective and able to be in what can be difficult – even when the tasks are sometimes complex.

It is important for us that you not only see the task – but also the person behind it.

We offer

  • A small and close-knit workplace where relationships matter
  • Good opportunities for professional development
  • Ongoing courses, instruction and professional presentations
  • Monthly staff meetings
  • A lot of influence on planning one's own shifts
  • A workplace where we value respect, professionalism and a common approach to our residents

If you can see yourself in the above and would like to become part of Taarnborghus, we would very much like to hear from you.

If you would like to hear more about the position, you are welcome to contact the home manager:

Christina Brinkmann.
