About the job

We are seeking an engaged facilitator for our network groups for recipients of unemployment benefits

Can you step into a room and create a framework where people feel encouraged to participate, contribute and take action? Are you good at getting different people involved, creating trust and dynamics in a group, while keeping focus on the shared goal: that the unemployed person gets a job!

Then you can become our new colleague in the Job and Education Clubs in JobSønderborg. You will be part of an effort where we facilitate and teach unemployed recipients of unemployment benefits and support their path back to the labor market. The task primarily includes group programs, as well as individual conversations and contact with companies, so we can together create good and realistic matches between the unemployed and local job opportunities.

You should be able to do more

We have already developed common teaching modules and materials, which are continuously adjusted to the labor market's demand and new job-related knowledge. You should therefore not start with a blank canvas, but you should be able to bring the material to life, make it relevant and meaningful for the group you face.

We imagine that you can

  • set a clear and safe framework for a group program
  • facilitate dialogues, exercises and reflections where participants become active collaborators
  • create engagement and dynamism, even when participants' motivation, experiences and needs differ
  • pose the questions that create new perspectives and movement
  • translate participants' skills, experiences and possibilities into concrete actions
  • balance the needs of the community with an eye for the individual
  • maintain direction and forward motion without taking over the participants' own process
  • adjust your facilitation when the energy in the room or the group's needs change.

It is important that you can inspire without delivering standard answers. You should be able to meet people respectfully and with curiosity, but also dare to challenge, create direction and keep focus on work and the labor market.

Your tasks

Together with your colleagues you will among other things

  • plan and facilitate employment-oriented group programs
  • teach in job searching, CV, application, interview training and use of networks
  • conduct individual conversations with the participants
  • motivate and build bridges to jobs, internships, education and upskilling
  • establish contact with companies and be curious about their needs
  • support good matches between participants and companies
  • contribute to the development and adjustment of teaching materials and activities
  • participate in company visits, recruitment programs, job fairs and other employment-oriented activities
  • document the efforts and handle the administrative and authorities-related tasks that come with the job.

Who are you?

Your educational background may vary. The crucial thing is that you can confidently stand in the role of facilitator and create relationships, participation and progress.

We place emphasis on the following

  • have experience with, or a clear talent for facilitating groups and processes
  • can generate energy and participation without having to fill the entire room yourself
  • communicate clearly, appreciatively and credibly
  • can accommodate diversity and tailor your communication to different participants
  • have a strong eye for resources and opportunities, but at the same time are realistic about the labor market's demands
  • want to work closely with colleagues and share ideas, materials and experiences
  • are curious about the needs of companies and can build good relationships with the local business community
  • can work in a structured way with follow-up, documentation and administrative tasks
  • are familiar with digital tools and are eager to use them actively in teaching, guidance and job seeking
  • either have knowledge of the authorities' tasks or are motivated to learn them.

It is advantageous if you have experience with employment, teaching, guidance, recruitment, HR, collaboration with companies or process facilitation. The most important, however, is that you can translate your experience into practice that works for both the participants, the group and the companies.

How we work

You will become part of a team where high professionalism, humor and a sense of community go hand in hand. When we facilitate teaching and group programs, we typically work together in smaller, collegial teams. This means that you must be able to take responsibility for your own role and be attentive to the interaction with the colleagues you work with.

We continuously develop our efforts. Therefore you should be eager to try new approaches, share your observations and help qualify both content and form. We do not expect you to know everything from day one, but we expect you to be curious, proactive and willing to develop together with us.

We offer

  • a position where you have the opportunity to make a concrete difference for people on the way to work
  • influence on the development of our group programs and employment-oriented activities
  • a professional environment where we learn from each other and develop practice together
  • an internal employment-related academic program
  • opportunity to work at the intersection of facilitation, guidance and company collaboration
  • a workplace with professional ambitions, flexibility, humor and good colleagues.

JobSønderborg handles employment and integration efforts in the Municipality of Sonderborg. We work to strengthen cross-disciplinary collaboration and build strong relationships with the local business community.

Then we look forward to receiving your application.

  • created participation and energy in a group
  • handled different needs or levels of motivation
  • helped people move from reflection to concrete action.
