About the job

The Assistive Devices Department has received resources to develop and strengthen the good handling processes with citizens over the next 2 years. We are looking for you who are confident in the legislation and have the ability to see the whole person and create opportunities in collaboration.

In Herlev Municipality you get a unique opportunity to become part of an ambitious authority department with high social capital. Professionally you get an exciting and varied job where you help plan your workday and develop your professional competencies in assistive device mediation, as well as a strong shared responsibility in the joint interdisciplinary task solving.

We make a difference for the citizens with high professionalism and good collaboration

The department is responsible for providing guidance, conducting functional assessments and case handling regarding applications for assistive devices, consumables, support for the purchase of a car and housing modifications in accordance with the provisions of the Social Services Act. In addition, the team handles referrals for APV aids, elderly- and disability-friendly housing, as well as disability driving.

We handle cases from a holistic and rehabilitative approach, in cooperation with citizens, relatives and cross-disciplinary partners, so that the citizen experiences a coordinated and holistic effort. To support case processing we use Common Language III and the care system Nexus.

The daily work is a combination of visits to the citizen's home and administrative case processing, as well as handling our Quick Service and Front-function which handles all urgent inquiries from citizens, relatives and partners. Task planning is done in close collaboration with the rest of the team.

It is important for us that you

  • Have a relevant health professional education (occupational therapist or physiotherapist) and ideally experience from the authority sector as a case-handling therapist or assessor - perhaps both.
  • Have relevant practical experience with assistive devices e.g. at approval or in connection with rehabilitation efforts.
  • Are in balance with your therapeutic competencies and can demonstrate authority in the authority role, and are skilled in legal interpretation, both in the areas handled in the Assistive Devices Department, but also in other areas that can contribute to a complete holistic plan for the citizen.
  • Are development-oriented with a systematic and structured approach to authority tasks and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Are able to have several balls in the air simultaneously and can take responsibility in complex case processes.
  • Have good communication and collaboration skills, so you can build good relationships in meetings with citizens, relatives and not least partners.
  • Have good dissemination skills, as well as flair and experience as an IT user - it is an advantage if you have knowledge of documentation in KMD Nexus.

As a person you are positive and curious, with a smile on your face. You have a willingness to change that benefits our citizens and partners, just as you are motivated to independently seek new knowledge to use in concrete case processes, both regarding assistive devices and legislation.

We offer

  • A dynamic and flexible workplace with ongoing planning of the work week and the workday.
  • Dedicated and professionally competent colleagues who place a high value on joint learning and mutual sparring.
  • An exciting job with a high degree of independent responsibility and competence.
  • A work environment where the shared responsibility for the core task is highly valued.

A laptop and mobile phone are provided.
