About the job

Do you want to make a difference?

Do you see it as a challenge to support older people in rediscovering and maintaining their skills, which ensure them the opportunity to live a good ”old age” on their own terms? Are you professionally competent, stable and robust!

Then you may be our new occupational therapist!

We are seeking an occupational therapist for our outreach team - someone who bubbles with joy and energy, is good at motivating both colleagues and citizens, and is enthusiastic and professionally skilled.

You will become part of a professionally strong and solid multidisciplinary team consisting of social- and health-care helpers, social- and health-care assistants, pedagogues, occupational- and physical therapists as well as nurses.

About you

  • you must be able to grasp everyday situations and intervene with your professional expertise both in relation to the citizens and your colleagues - for example regarding sitting positions, mealtime situations and transfer/mobility situations
  • you must be able to encourage and motivate citizens to actively participate in all daily activities
  • you are good at recognizing the citizens' resources and, together with the team, follow up on the opportunities they create
  • you see it as your primary task to ensure citizens a good life based on their desires and circumstances
  • you participate in care situations where you apply your specialized occupational therapy expertise

With us in District Southeast

  • we put the citizen at the centre. Based on the citizen's life history and interests, we work on small sub-tasks to achieve a main goal, such as 'taking the bus again'
  • the different professional groups in the team work across. Multidisciplinary sparring, training and collaboration provide a unique opportunity to create changes in the citizen's everyday life here and now. It also enables quick follow-up and evaluation and to involve current situations
  • we carry out activity-oriented training where the goal makes sense for the citizen and helps support their identity. Both in terms of P-ADL (self-care tasks) and also being able to water flowers, choose clothes themselves, take out the trash
  • we work from a rehabilitative approach, including both training and maintenance training, etc. This takes place with a multidisciplinary approach, where one also has the possibility to build strong relationships and cooperation between citizen, relatives and the visitations

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between KL and the Danish Occupational Therapy Association.
