Center for Property, Park and Road Frederikshavn seeks Machine Operator / Skilled Worker

Center for Properties, Park and Roads (CEPV) has about 240 employees and consists of four departments:

• Infrastructure and Green Urban Environment
• Properties and Climate Adaptation
• Shared Functions and Projects
• Facilities and Marina

We are responsible for development, operation and maintenance of the municipal efforts in road, path, park, harbor, building and nature areas. We have 80 kilometers of coastline, 694 hectares of forest and nature areas, and more than 1,000 kilometers of roads.

Every day of the year our employees work from Skagen in the north to Voerså in the south, together creating attractive frames for life in the public realm.

About the position

For our road team we are seeking a professionally strong employee, with experience in driving larger machines for shoulder trimming, pruning, signage duty, though other operational tasks on the road area and winter service may also occur.

The job consists of recurring tasks following an annual cycle, and ongoing ad hoc tasks.

We handle a wide range of tasks and work in small teams, where collaboration and help across disciplines is a natural part of everyday life. The core task in the road area is operation and maintenance of roads and shoulders, parking and rest areas, gravel roads and paths, bridges and tunnels, potholes, drainage.

You will become part of a committed team that solves tasks throughout the municipality. Your tasks will be a combination of independent work and close collaboration with colleagues.

The position is a permanent year-round job; you will therefore be part of the municipality's winter preparedness and must participate in anti-slip measures and snow removal on the municipality's roads, paths and sidewalks. In the period November to March, expect variable working hours and overtime.

• Have experience as a machine or tractor operator, preferably from the contracting, road or asphalt industry.
• Have a minimum driver's license category BE and C
• Have good physical fitness, as the work is physically demanding.

Salary and employment terms

You will be employed at the Center for Properties, Park and Roads with primary workplace in Frederikshavn; travel throughout the municipality is expected, therefore a valid driving license is a prerequisite.

Salary and terms of employment are according to the applicable collective agreement between KL and the bargaining representative organization.

At appointment, you must be able to provide a criminal record and a child safeguarding certificate, and references will be requested following further agreement.
