About the job

Can you lead a care home, where the atmosphere is homely and where we place a high value on professionalism, quality and collaboration? And would you lead from the front and, together with staff, residents, relatives and volunteers, create safe surroundings and a good workplace, where the goal is to give residents the opportunity for a meaningful life and a good everyday life? - then we need you!

Who are we?

As Center Leader at Gundsø Omsorgscenter you will be responsible for a care center, as well as a senior college for residents with dementia. We are in the process of becoming certified Marte Meo Care Center, to ensure high professionalism within the dementia area. You will be responsible for the daily management of approximately 35 engaged employees, the professional quality and the daily operations, including management of the finances. As center leader you will be part of a center leadership group that places great emphasis on collaboration, sparring and professional development.

In Roskilde Municipality we work with a clear focus on rehabilitation and the good cooperation between residents, staff and leaders, where we find solutions together. We know that this is what creates the best elderly care.

Gundsø Omsorgscenter is a workplace in scenic surroundings in Ågerup. The care center houses 30 residents. There are also two temporary dwellings attached for residents who, for a limited period, cannot be in their own home. Gundsø Omsorgscenter also provides the framework for a senior college used by about 20 residents daily.

The purpose of the senior college is to offer residents an active daily life, where they daily have the opportunity to participate in various activities, pursue their interests and participate in social communities with others. Participation in the Senior College can also aim to relieve relatives. The workforce consists of nurses, social and health care assistants, social and health helpers and therapists.

Who are you?

You can lead and retain skilled and engaged employees and will contribute to further developing and quality-assuring the task execution. We imagine that you are trained as a nurse, therapist or have a leadership education or leadership experience.

We also place emphasis on you

  • Have a focus on creating the best possible framework around residents' homes and daily lives.
  • Can lead in creating a cohesive house where we collaborate across professions and together with residents, relatives and volunteers ensure a good everyday life for the residents.
  • Can inspire, create engagement and maintain professional pride
  • Have experience from a similar position, including management of a house with staff attached around the clock.
  • Set a clear direction through an appreciative, egalitarian and inclusive communication with residents, relatives and staff.

Application, interview and contact

The position is to be filled from 1 January 2027.

Application deadline: 13 November 2026
