About the job

Are you passionate about early grades, special pedagogy and strong relationships in the community? Then it might be you we are looking for!

Do you want to become an important part of our students' everyday life? Are you focused on how we create the best conditions for learning, well-being and development – even when the road there requires something special? And do you meet both children and colleagues with professional curiosity, humor and a good portion of pytknap? Then we would love to hear from you!

We are looking for a teacher who is eager to step directly into teaching in the early grades and become a meaningful adult for our students. You will be part of a center-class department in development, where special pedagogy, professionalism and inclusive communities are important practice.

The vacancy starts on January 5, 2027 and is expected to be at least 10 months.

The position is as a rule full-time, but we are open to discussing reduced hours.

Your daily life with us

You will have a varied daily life where relationships, teaching and special educational approaches go hand in hand.

Your tasks will include

  • Teaching in the early grades: You will teach Danish, physical education, music and science/technology (N/T). All subjects are in the same class, so you have good opportunities to build strong relationships with the students and create coherence in their school day.
  • Team lessons and academic support: You will support the students' learning and participation across different subjects and learning situations.
  • Teaching in different communities: You will teach in your own class and on selected days across the early grades.
  • Parent collaboration: You should be eager to engage in a close and extended collaboration with the parents, where dialogue, trust and a common direction are essential.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is trained as a primary school teacher or is close to completing your teacher education.

We hope that you

  • Are strong in Danish in the early grades and are willing to teach some lessons in N/T, physical education and music.
  • Want to be an important and stable person in the students' daily lives.
  • Can and want to blend into a well-functioning structure, thus ensuring predictability and overview so the students have the best opportunities to succeed.
  • Are curious about special pedagogy and have an interest in both structure, didactics, relationship-building and classroom management.
  • Can look beyond the students' challenges and meet them with a view to their resources, potentials and individual needs.
  • Have situational awareness and can maintain an overview, even when the day does not go exactly as planned.
  • Can thrive in close collaboration with colleagues, learning advisor and leadership about the students' learning and well-being. Where you on onboarding will receive mentorship from the center-class learning advisor in a mentoring program.
  • Take responsibility, contribute actively to the team and can work independently when the task requires it.

You are very welcome to have a well-developed pytknap, a twinkle in the eye and a desire to question your own practice. With us, professionalism and reflection are important – and humor helps us find our way, even when everyday life becomes complex.

Experience from the special education field is an advantage, but your motivation, curiosity and desire to develop yourself together with us are at least as important.

We offer you

With us you become part of a professional community where we lift the task together, share experiences and help each other find the solutions that make sense for the students.

  • A close and equal collaboration between teachers and pedagogues.
  • A center-class department with special education in systematic development as part of an inclusive mainstream school.
  • An extended cross-disciplinary collaboration – both internally and with external partners.
  • Engaged and skilled colleagues who meet daily life with humor, energy and great commitment on behalf of the students.
  • Opportunity to put your professional competencies into play and develop your special pedagogical practice in collaboration with others.
