We are in the middle of a time when psychiatry is developing. Expectations for cross-sector collaboration are increasing at the same time as the specialty-specific professional quality of treatment trajectories is enhanced. This places demands on us as an organization, but also provides an opportunity to think innovatively and develop outpatient psychiatry. We highly prioritize multidisciplinary collaboration, not as an on-paper ambition, but as part of everyday life.

With us you will become part of an efficiently run district psychiatry service that covers Holbæk, Kalundborg and Odsherred. We work according to the F-ACT model, and you will be attached to an F-ACT team in close collaboration with a senior consultant colleague. You will join a strong community of specialists with six experienced senior colleagues. We have fixed scheduled sparring, a high professional ambition level and a culture where it is natural to rely on each other in the complex patient pathways.

What awaits you?

The District Psychiatry North consists of three F-ACT teams with a total of about 700 patients. You will be attached to a team where you work closely with the team's other senior consultant, clinical psychologist, nurses, social worker and other therapists. The team primarily treats patients with psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder and other severe mental illnesses who require a close and flexible outpatient treatment offering. As a senior consultant you contribute medical leadership in the team and are a central sparring partner for both colleagues and management.

Professional dialogue is an important part of our way of working. In addition to weekly cross-disciplinary conferences, you participate in fixed medical and psychology conferences where complex trajectories are discussed and psychopathological assessments and treatment strategies are qualified.

There are good opportunities to bring your interests and competencies into play. If you would like teaching, supervision or development tasks, there is room for that. If you have an interest in research, we also support that part of the work life.

The work is primarily outpatient. There is the possibility of participation in on-call duties, but it is not a requirement.

About Psychiatry West

Psychiatry West is a hospital in development with about 460 employees and functions within acute, emergency and outpatient psychiatry.

We host, among other things, specialist functions within affective disorders, PTSD, oligophrenia and treatment of traumatized refugees. At the same time we have an active research environment with professors, PhD students and research projects in collaboration with municipalities and other partners.

We work purposefully to develop an psychiatry where recovery, network involvement, education, ethics and reduction of coercion are central guiding principles.

Employment terms

The position is full-time with commencement on January 1, 2027 or as agreed.

Salary and terms of employment follow the applicable collective agreement between the Association of Specialists and Danish Regions. In connection with employment at Psychiatry, references are sought.

Starting salary for union employees

The region is obliged to inform you about the starting salary for the position. You will be told basic pay, centrally fixed allowances and pension under the relevant collective agreement. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
