The job as a daycare provider

The work takes place in your own home, and you will have a large network of other daycare colleagues and not least, 4 children aged 0-2 years who are looking forward to meeting you.

The workday is independent and flexible. You plan your day with the children yourself.

You are part of a group of daycare providers where you collaborate with colleagues on events, playgroup activities, etc.

You work with the individual child and the group’s well-being, development and learning in cooperation with the daycare pedagogue and parents.

You receive sparring, advice and guidance from a permanently assigned daycare pedagogue.

As a daycare provider you hold an exciting and important job where you make a big difference for both children and adults.

Since January 1, 2025, the day care has been merged with the day care offerings, and you will thus become part of Daycare Nordvest.

Your working time is 48 hours per week and is scheduled in the time frame 06:00-18:00.

We expect that you as a daycare provider actively participate in the collaboration with parents, colleagues, the daycare pedagogue and the day care offering.

That you can create a developing and fun learning environment focusing on both the individual child and the child community.

Collaborations with external partners, for example speech therapist, psychologist and physiotherapist.

Works with the strengthened pedagogical curriculum and comply with the Day Care Act.

Has a desire for personal and professional development.

Further information

You supervise four children, and sometimes five children in periods. In addition you are part of the guest daycare according to the collective agreement.

As a daycare provider you and your daycare children as a rule meet in playgroup with the other daycare providers and daycare children in the area.

To be employed as a daycare provider you must have a satisfactory criminal record, child certificate, and criminal record/child certificate for spouse, cohabitant and children over 15 years.

Your home must also be approved to be a daycare.
