We expect that you are trained as a pharmaconomist. If you have experience with medication service or medication management, that is a plus but not a prerequisite for employment.

Hospital Pharmacy's tasks for pharmaconomists

As Hospital Pharmacy, one of our important tasks is to provide services, such as medication service to hospitals, hospices and Psychiatry in Region Zealand. Medication service is a contract-based service, where we as Hospital Pharmacy enter into agreements with hospital departments to perform tasks on their behalf.

Medication service is organized as six Medication Service teams across the region's largest hospital geographies. Employed in the Medication Service Team in Holbæk, medication service, dispensing and administration as well as the delivery of medicines free of charge to special patient groups at Holbæk Hospital are carried out. In addition, medication service is provided at Sundhedscenter Kalundborg and Nykøbing Sjælland, as well as in Psychiatry.

Duties in Medication Service

• Perform prescribing reviews of medications for admitted patients
• Dispense and administer medicines to admitted patients in close collaboration with the department's doctors and nurses
• Engage in dialogue with the department staff regarding the choice of medicines, and contribute to solving medication-related issues
• Be available to answer relevant medication-related questions from the departments
• Inventory management of the medicine room, including ordering and stocking medicines
• Assess medication consumption in relation to standard assortment and recommendations
• Handling, recording and dispensing medicines dispensed free of charge to specific patient groups at the hospital's outpatient clinics

• Salaries and employment follow the relevant collective agreement
• Expected start date January 1, 2026 or as soon as possible

Starting salary for collective agreement employees

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of the base salary, centrally determined allowances and pension under the relevant collective agreement. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.

The Hospital Pharmacy is an independent business area with 250 employees, delivering medicines, medication service and clinically pharmaceutical service to the hospitals in Region Zealand. We procure medicines and also produce medicines for both stock and individual patients, especially chemotherapy for cancer patients. We handle medicines worth 1 billion DKK per year.
