About the job Every day we strive for all children to experience the joy of moving and to show engagement when they participate. At Højbjerggård the pedagogical staff support play, nature education and routines, with presence and care. We know that movement and sensorimotor development strengthen the children's cognitive development.

Whether we move to the lake, examine a stone or find a snail, exploration and curiosity come before the goal.

In the nursery we work with slow pedagogy, where calm, care and presence are fundamental. Therefore we set time aside for immersion. Our children need to meet attentive adults who understand their world and expand it.

Therefore you will work with what we call island time and pools, giving you opportunities for preparation outside of children's time. The island hours are agreed in collaboration. It provides optimal conditions to reflect professionally on pedagogy and to be fully present when you are with the children.

We work with scheduled classroom meetings and management-driven supervision, so you have the opportunity to develop the pedagogical practice without bearing the responsibility alone.

About Højbjerggård Child House We are a children's house in Holte, located in the most scenic area. We enjoy using the forest and the playground, whether we go exploring and follow in the child’s footsteps, say hello to our neighbors, the horses, or play out on our wonderful playground depends on what we see in the children and which interests have their focus.

Transitions play a large role in nursery life – from home to nursery, from play to meal – and therefore we work consciously to create safe, recognizable routines. We use our care gesture "little hand and big hand" as a shared pedagogical tool to read the children's signals and translate them into pedagogical action. It helps us create a daily life where the children feel seen, met, and understood.
