Can you translate data from Aurocon's intelligent IoT-connected Aurotrap devices into concrete products, better decision bases and new commercial opportunities?

From IoT data to product development and business opportunities

Aurocon's growing base of IoT-connected Aurotrap devices generates large amounts of data about, among other things, events, sensor activity, connectivity, battery, operation and installations. As responsible for AI & Data you bring these data into play.

The position combines strategy with hands-on development, and particularly in the start you are the technical driving force yourself. You analyze data, write code, build prototypes and document where AI and machine learning can create real customer and business value.

Your responsibilities include, among other things

• combine IoT- and time-series data with product data, historical events, support knowledge and technical documentation
• create structure, quality and a scalable architecture around the company's data foundation
• develop machine-learning solutions for analysis, anomaly detection, classification and prediction
• define and implement Aurocon's AI and data strategy
• develop the foundation for a model-agnostic Aurocon AI Engine based on own data and domain knowledge
• identify new AI and data products that increase the value of the Aurotrap platform and can create recurring revenue
• work hands-on with LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, function calling and AI agents
• develop proof-of-concepts and bring the right solutions from prototype to production together with the CTO and the development team

You report directly to the CEO, work closely with the CTO and the development team and communicate with both customers and commercial partners. The CTO is responsible for hardware, embedded software, firmware and the technical product platform, while you take ownership of data, analytics, machine learning and AI.

Technical builder with an eye for product and business

You are either Head of AI today or ready for your next career step from your current position as AI Engineer, ML Engineer, Data Scientist, Applied AI Lead or similar. The decisive factor is your technical heft, ability to build solutions yourself, and your ambition to assume strategic and managerial responsibility over time.

You have solid experience with several of the following areas

• Data Science, Machine Learning and Generative AI
• Python, SQL, data engineering and large data sets
• LLM architecture, RAG, embeddings and vector databases
• function calling and AI agents
• API integrations, model deployment and MLOps/LLMOps
• cloud, data and analytics architecture.

Familiarity with, for example, Qwen, Llama, Mistral, OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face or vLLM is relevant. You are not tied to a single tech stack, but have a pragmatic approach to technology and assess models and solutions based on quality, cost, latency, security, GDPR, scalability and the concrete business value.

In addition you have experience with IoT, time-series data, hardware-enabled software and operational eventdata.

You are analytically strong, curious and self-driven and thrive on tasks where the solution is not predefined.

Your technical professionalism combines with a product- and business-oriented mindset that enables you to prioritise opportunities based on customer value, willingness to pay, differentiation, development costs and scalability.
