Companion sought for a 37-year-old man in Hvalsø

Do you want to make a difference for a young man by guiding him and creating good experiences in everyday life and leisure.

About the client.

The client is a 37-year-old man with cerebral palsy and is a wheelchair user.

The client needs support with guidance during meals, as well as help with guiding with a crutch and driving his car.

Expectations of you

• You are calm, patient and trustful
• You are open-minded and have a good sense of humor
• You want to have fun and be social
• You are flexible regarding working hours and activities

Tasks.

• Go out and experience things.
• Cinema, parties, concerts, dining out.

· The client needs support with guidance during meals.

· Help with guiding with a crutch.

· Driving in his car.

About you

• Is reliable and responsible
• Is good at creating safe relationships
• Respects the client’s wishes and autonomy
• Wants to support a person to an active leisure life

There is no requirement that you have a specific education or experience. The most important is the right personal chemistry and interest in the task.

Working hours

The working hours are planned in collaboration with the client and can be on both weekdays and weekends, and may vary from month to month according to the client's wishes, but approximately 15 hours per month, and only in accordance with the client’s wishes.

• Ongoing support and sparring from LOBPA
• The position is part-time and remunerated according to the applicable collective agreement
• The client covers all expenses related to the companionship
• Employment is through LOBPA in accordance with the National Agreement for disability assistance in the client’s own home (FOA and Dansk Erhverv)
