When a customer is struck by fire, water or another damage, the homes or businesss contents can also be affected.

Furniture, pictures, books, clothing and personal belongings may at first glance seem like ordinary items – but for the customer they can have great practical and personal value.

Therefore, working with contents requires something special.

At Ocab we are now looking for a contents cleaner who enjoys handling, cleaning and treating the customers belongings – both at the customers premises and on our cleaning line.

About the job

As a contents cleaner, you follow the customers belongings through different stages of the process.

It can begin at a damage site, where the contents must be sorted, registered, packed and transported. On other days you work on our cleaning line with cleaning and treatment of the contents, so as much as possible can be saved and returned to the customer.

It requires not only a practical sense. It also requires that you work systematically, carefully and respectfully with the things you have in your hands.

Your tasks may include

• Handling of contents after fire, water and other damages
• Sorting and registering the customers belongings
• Packing, labeling and preparation for transport and storage
• Cleaning and treatment of contents
• Working on our cleaning line
• Moving and handling of furniture and other contents
• Work at customers premises in connection with damage cases
• Documentation of the performed work
• Cooperation with colleagues and project managers throughout the process

For this position we are primarily looking for a person who likes to do things thoroughly and properly.

You understand that you are working with other peoples belongings, and you treat them with the same care you would want for your own.

We would like you to

• Be meticulous and detail-oriented
• Work in a structured way and have control of the things you handle
• Have a desire for both practical work and more systematic tasks
• Trive with working on our cleaning line as well as at the customers premises
• Be in good physical shape, as moving and handling of contents can be part of the workday
• Work independently and take responsibility for your tasks
• Thrive in collaboration and contribute positively to the team
• Meet the customers properly and with an understanding of the situation they are in
• Speak and understand Danish
• Have a driving license (category B)

Experience from damage restoration, cleaning, moving industry, warehousing or similar practical work can be an advantage, but the most important is your approach to the work and your desire to learn.

It is a prerequisite that you can present a criminal record.
