About the job

Construction Logistics Manager for SISK construction project

Do you want to play a central role in an international construction project?

At SISK you, as Construction Logistics Manager, will have a central role on an international construction project in Viborg, where a new data center forms the framework for a complex construction site with high demands for efficient, safe and environmentally responsible operations. You will be responsible for everything from site logistics, material flow and access control to equipment, lifting operations, waste management and environmental compliance.

An exciting opportunity for you who want to be close to the decisions, create structure in daily life - and gain a strong international reference on your CV.

THE POSITION

As SISK’s new Construction Logistics Manager you will play a central role in creating structure, progress and overview on the construction site. You will be an important link between the involved parties and ensure that daily operations run efficiently, coordinated and with confidence that there are controls over processes, logistics and necessary activities throughout the construction process.

Your tasks will include, among other things

  • Develop, implement and manage the project’s logistics strategy and logistics management plan.
  • Control all material deliveries, unloading, storage areas, storage locations and distribution of materials to the work areas.
  • Coordinate access and exit conditions for employees, subcontractors, visitors, deliveries and equipment.
  • Manage construction site safety, access control systems, gate operations and visitor management processes.
  • Work closely with designated responsible individuals, crane operators/crane managers and lifting teams to coordinate crane and lifting activities.
  • Manage subcontractors’ camp and area provision, temporary storage facilities, containers and welfare areas.
  • Oversee waste contractors and implement strategies for waste handling and recycling on the construction site.
  • Act as the construction site’s environmental ambassador and promote best practices for environmental work across the project.
  • Implement environmental management strategies in accordance with company standards, legal requirements and project goals.
  • Lead environmental inspections, audits and awareness initiatives.
  • Investigate, record and report environmental incidents, near-misses and deviations and ensure that corrective actions are completed.

It is a versatile role with a large internal and external interface and many simultaneous tasks. Structure and overview will therefore be decisive for your success in the position.

YOUR PROFILE

You have experience with coordination, logistics or operations from a construction site, a large project environment or another complex operations organization where many activities must be planned, prioritized and followed up on simultaneously.

You thrive in a role where you are close to the daily operations, take responsibility for progress and create an overview for both internal and external partners. It comes naturally to you to communicate clearly, follow up on agreements and ensure that processes, safety, access, material flow and environmental considerations are handled professionally.

We expect that you

  • Have experience with construction site logistics, project coordination, operations or similar
  • Can create structure, progress and overview in a busy and changing daily life
  • Are used to coordinating across disciplines, subcontractors and external partners
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with many different stakeholders
  • Have understanding of safety, access control and the importance of fixed processes on a construction site
  • Are fluent in Danish and English
  • Work systematically with follow-up, documentation and reporting
  • Have an interest in environment, waste handling and responsible operations
  • Are action-oriented, solution-focused and good at staying calm when many tasks run simultaneously
