About the job

Would you like to help set the direction for the sports and leisure sector in Hillerød Municipality?

Are you passionate about working with sport, facilities development, volunteering, associations and bridging across sectors? Can you ensure progress, collaboration and development in cross-cutting projects, and can you deliver results in a field with many different actors and interests? Then you are our new consultant in Culture, Sports and Leisure.

About the area and the position

Culture, Sport and Leisure plays a central role in the municipality's work to strengthen communities and participation opportunities for residents of all ages. The area includes, among other things, cultural institutions, events, volunteering, folk high school, sports facilities and cross-cutting development initiatives.

In Hillerød Municipality we have a particular focus on creating good frameworks for and strengthening the culture, sport and leisure area. At the same time, we are a significant actor in bridging across other areas in the municipality, e.g. schools/youth and day-care, health and social, and facilities, urban development and climate areas.

We are seeking an engaged and development-oriented consultant for 37 hours, who will take on different types of tasks.

It is important that you have the following qualifications

  • A master's degree, in either sport or social sciences, and experience within the sports, voluntary associations and folk education sector.
  • Project management experience and the ability to drive and coordinate strategic, complex development projects.
  • Experience from a politically governed organization – preferably a municipality – and can contribute to political support, including preparation of case materials and decision briefs.
  • Strong communication skills – both oral and written – and the ability to independently drive tasks and processes forward.
  • Has a flair for working with analyses and data and has the skills to support the development of facilities, activities and offerings for the municipality's residents.

To succeed in the role it is important that you

  • See new opportunities and take action
  • Have a strong strategic sense and overview
  • Are good at forming and joining new relationships and networks
  • Can collaborate across sectors
  • Are prepared to take on many diverse tasks
  • If you have experience with or an eye for grant opportunities for municipal projects, that is also an advantage.

Central to the role is the ability to identify bridging opportunities and cross-cutting potential, the ability to lift these in collaboration with relevant parties, and a willingness to contribute to supporting and strengthening the area in itself. You should have the desire and ability to dialogue with a broad range of actors both inside and outside the town hall – and you can follow many diverse tasks through to completion.

Types of tasks you will be required to tackle

  • Project management and sparring on cross-cutting projects in collaboration with internal and external partners
  • Development of leisure facilities – including revising and drafting collaboration and user agreements with, for example, self-governing units
  • Prepare case materials, notes and analyses for political consideration
  • Development of partnerships, cooperation and bridging between the municipality, associations and institutions
  • Support events, workshops and arrangements in the area
  • Association support, including guidance on grants, fundraising and permits, coordination regarding coexistence in municipal facilities, assistance with stakeholder and conflict management, etc.
