Danish and Music Teacher for the Primary School at Sølystskolen - Permanent Position

Sølystskolen is a school with a desire for development located in Silkeborg's most densely populated district, Alderslyst, close to the city's lakes and cultural offerings. The school consists of an ordinary part with a primary school (0th – 5th grade) and a lower secondary (6th – 9th grade) with physical education classes from 7th to 9th grade. In addition, there are reception classes and a special class series for children with general learning difficulties. There are over 700 pupils at the school with different prerequisites, all keen to become as skilled as possible.

Sølystskolen is a school for all district children, regardless of social, cultural or ethnic background. Our vision is that the school should be an academic and pedagogical spearhead, where the academic standard is top and all pupils are equipped for a youth education.

Sølystskolen is nationally renowned for its focused work on language development in the subjects, and we have just launched a development project with a pedagogical and didactic foundation as a common direction throughout the school. We work with a high professional ambition level while, in collaboration, carrying out a focused effort around student conduct and formation.

We are seeking a skilled and professionally competent teacher with primary duties as Danish- and co-class teacher in Year 1 and with music in 1st and 4th grades. If you also have one of several main subjects, that would be an advantage, but not a requirement: Art, English, Crafts/Design, DSA. It is a requirement that you are a trained teacher.

Together with the rest of the school staff and leadership, you will contribute to ensuring that the school's pedagogical work with a learning perspective and a foundation for formation is supported and developed in close and committed collaboration. We are looking for a teacher who understands the importance of good parent collaboration and thrives with classroom management.
