About the job

Would you like to try your hand at a position as a communications officer in a professional-political organization? Would you like to help shape and develop the position for future needs of communication to our members? Then perhaps it’s you we are looking for!

About the position

Communication is increasingly taking up more space in our political, strategic and daily work. Therefore we are looking for a communications officer for 37 hours a week, who can help strengthen our visibility, dialogue and member communication.

Dansk Sygeplejeråd, Kreds Syddanmark, works every day to strengthen nurses’ working conditions, professionalism and influence on the development of the health service with a basis in our members.

As a communications officer you will have a central role in making this work visible – both to our members, the public and partners.

You will, among other things, support the political elected leadership, which consists of one chairwoman and three deputy chairpersons, the district board’s work and support visibility and dialogue with the district’s elected representatives and about 16,000 members.

The position has a broad task portfolio, and you will therefore need to be motivated for diverse tasks within communications, and be able to handle them. We expect you to contribute with new ideas and a sharp eye for how we can develop our communication so that it matches both current and future needs.

It is important that you are able to work and operate in a professional-political organization, and are proactive about what is important for the members in Dansk Sygeplejeråd, Kreds Syddanmark. It is also important that you are proactive about what is moving on the health policy agenda, and in the development of your profession.

Your tasks

  • Translate political and professional messages into engaging communication
  • Develop new formats and ideas that strengthen the visibility of nurses’ agendas
  • Follow the health policy debate and identify opportunities for visibility and member engagement
  • Approach and be proactive on current stories and themes that can create engagement and strengthen the sense of community in a professional organization
  • Produce current and relevant content, so we can be active in the public debate and discussion
  • Drive and develop SoMe, video and digital member dialogue. Including plan, produce and publish content for Facebook, Instagram and other relevant platforms
  • Produce content in text, photo and video – including video for social media, as well as graphical representations
  • Prepare speeches and debate articles for the political leadership
  • Prepare content for the district’s general assembly every other year
  • Support and implement the district board’s communication strategy
  • Contribute to press and communication tasks across Dansk Sygeplejeråd as an organization
  • Maintain and update website and intranet
