About the job

Are you motivated by working at the crossroads of economics, governance and policy across three large welfare areas? In the Ministry of Children, Elderly and Housing, we are recruiting several skilled employees who will help drive the finance bill work, develop the financial decision-making basis and support the leadership in some of the ministry's most central priorities. You will have a daily life close to the political decision-making process and become part of a professionally strong environment with high ambitions and great responsibility.

Positions

We are looking for capable employees who want to help develop the Ministry of Children, Elderly and Housing's department and take on central roles in the ministry's economic engine. You will have a workday that includes exciting and varied tasks in a house we have just moved into, and where our cross-cutting departments are under construction. There will therefore be an opportunity to shape your workplace and help set the direction.

Our way of working and tasks are especially suitable for you who have several years of relevant experience (e.g., from the Ministry of Finance or economic offices in other ministries or agencies), but you can also be a recent graduate and curious to build expertise in state financial management.

We are looking for several profiles for our Office of Economics, Governance and Analysis. Your tasks will follow your profile and, for example, include:

  • Professional beacon and cross-cutting coordinator of the ministry's finance bill team, including handling larger strategic cases and general coordination with the Ministry of Finance.
  • Responsibility for selected finance bill accounts, including associated appropriation cases, actuation documents, expenditure follow-ups etc.
  • Financial assessments and appropriation techniques in connection with policy development and government affairs.
  • Sector-related economic tasks, including DUT negotiations with municipalities and regions etc.
  • Planning of grant administration and other financial processes in the ministry's group.
  • Response to finance-related parliamentary questions, press inquiries, orders from the Ministry of Finance etc.

We will make an effort to create a portfolio that suits you and your competencies with a mix of both large and small tasks and good sparring opportunities with colleagues and manager.

About you

You are, for example, cand.polit./cand.oecon., cand.scient.pol., cand.scient.adm. or have another relevant higher education degree.

We also place emphasis on the fact that you

  • Would gladly bring experience from similar positions.
  • Have strong personal skills that make you approachable, collaborative and proactive.
  • Are willing to a daily life where no two days are the same.
  • Know the central administration and our case workflows.

We offer

We offer a position with lots of development, good humor and high ceilings. You will have a broad range of colleagues in a house where we also place a high value on social life – whether it is professionally developing office seminars or Friday bars with excursions to the nearby channels.

With us you will become part of an organization in development where high professionalism and good cooperation are part of the foundation for our work.

Salary and employment

Depending on qualifications and experience you will be employed under the AC agreement as an administrator, specialist or senior consultant. The positions are generally full-time.
