At Coop Logistics we are the engine that makes the flow of goods work. Every day we ensure that goods reach Coop's more than 900 stores safely and efficiently. At the Distribution Center Brøndby we are about 350 colleagues who work around the clock to deliver high quality and strong results.

Now we are looking for a department manager for the day shift who can take responsibility for one of our most important operating functions and lead a team of about 40 employees.

A leadership role with great responsibility and real influence

As a department manager you will be responsible for daily operations, production performance and the development of your employees. You will become part of a strong leadership team with three department managers who together ensure that the operations run smoothly and that we continually develop our processes.

You will have great freedom to make decisions and to put your mark on both results, working environment and development. In return we expect you to take ownership, lead from the front and create followership.

Your main areas of responsibility

• Ensure efficient execution of today’s production
• Deliver on the department’s KPIs and operational goals
• Motivate, develop and create well-being among the employees
• Drive improvements and optimize processes
• Ensure a safe working environment with focus on quality and safety

Who are you?

You are first and foremost a strong leader who achieves results through other people. You are clear in your communication, decisive in your decisions and present in your leadership style.

We imagine that you

• Have experience in people management, preferably of larger groups
• Thrive in an operations environment with high pace and many stakeholders
• Focus on both results and people
• Work in a structured way and maintain overview under pressure
• Ideally have experience from logistics, production or supply chain

Experience with cooperation with trade unions and process optimization would be a clear advantage.

The day shift hours are 06:30-17:00.

Working hours are generally from 09:00-17:00. Weekend work is expected according to a fixed rotation, where you work every 6th weekend.
