About the job

Deputy for Leader at Plejecenter Søkilden

Exciting opportunity to combine healthcare professionalism, leadership and personal development on the beautiful Ærø

Plejecenter Søkilden is seeking a deputy who, with their healthcare background, can step into leadership tasks and ensure quality, wellbeing and development.

Who are we?

Søkilden is a municipal care center on Ærø with 32 residences, some specially adapted for residents with dementia. Here we meet daily challenges with professionalism, presence and a belief that quality of life can be created in small moments. We see the person behind the illness and work to preserve identity, rhythms and interests, so residents can feel at home and safe.

As an employee you become part of a community where care is about more than care: it is about creating calm, sharing bright moments and finding new paths to joy of life. In the role as deputy you also participate in management tasks in close dialogue with the leader and balance between presence in daily life and responsibility for colleagues and operations.

About the position

The hours in the role of deputy are initially allocated at 17 hours per week for the deputy function, while the remaining working time is carried out in a health care function, e.g., as nurse, physiotherapist, occupational therapist or social- and health care assistant. When the leader is on vacation, attending courses or otherwise not present, the deputy role is expanded to full time, and you perform the necessary personnel management tasks. In addition, you will, in close dialogue with the leader, be assigned your own leadership tasks which you are responsible for planning and following through to completion.

As deputy you will

  • take on delegated leadership tasks during the leader's absence, including follow-up on sickness absence, coordination of shift planning and ensuring daily operations.
  • manage your own leadership areas, as agreed and developed in close collaboration with the care center leader.
  • support a practice-focused professional culture where learning, reflection and development are a natural part of daily life.
  • support employees' professional development through sparring, reflection and focus on high quality in care and assistance tasks.
  • contribute to quality development, including follow-up on documentation, health care interventions and medication management.
  • support a safe and acknowledging work environment with focus on wellbeing, collaboration and staff development.
  • promote cross-disciplinary collaboration internally at the care center as well as with relatives, the outreach area and Health and Prevention.
  • actively participate in the daily care and assistance for residents and maintain a close knowledge of practice.

We are looking for you, who

  • has a health professional education.
  • wants to combine your health professionalism with leadership tasks.
  • can create followership through clear communication, presence and trust.
  • is collaborative and can build good relations with staff, relatives and residents.
  • works in a structured way and can maintain an overview in a day with many different tasks.
  • has a sense of quality, professional development and wellbeing in everyday life.
  • is curious, reflective and contributes positively to the development of the workplace.

We offer

  • An exciting and varied position with responsibility and influence.
  • A central role in the development of the care center's professional quality and culture.
  • Opportunity to develop both health-professional, leadership and personal competences.
  • Opportunity to gradually develop your leadership skills through responsibility, sparring and learning in practice.
  • An working environment focused on collaboration, quality and holistic care.
  • Close sparring with the care center leader.

Practical information

  • Salary is paid according to the agreement for your health profession position with a supplementary allowance for the deputy function.
  • If the position has caught your interest, please send your application and CV no later than Tuesday, 24 November 2026.
  • Interviews are expected to be held on 27.11.2026. Please note that a criminal record check will be obtained prior to employment.
  • Employment begins on 01 January 2027 or as soon after.

If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact the leader at Søkilden, Gitte Noah-Roed, at email [email protected] or after 18.11.2026 at phone 21 28 45 58.

We look forward to hearing from you!
