About the job

The Royal Danish Theatre is an exciting workplace with many different roles and employee groups, where many young people and students are employed in the theatre's various departments. The Department of Digital Customer Relations, Analysis and Planning is now seeking a student assistant for approx. 15 hours of work per week with a start in early January 2026.

About the job

The department consists of 11 employees, and you will become part of a small analytics team that works with collecting, structuring, analyzing and communicating data so that they create value for the organisation. Through data and analysis we contribute to a stronger knowledge base and support decisions across the theatre.

If you can see yourself in the tasks and profile below, and if you would like to work at one of the country’s largest cultural institutions, we look forward to reading your application.

Your tasks

As a student assistant in the department, your primary task will be

  • To prepare sales and audience analyses based on questionnaire data (sent to the audience after performances) and sales data from our ticketing system. The task is about translating data into insights that are communicated in an inspiring and clear way in reports, typically in PowerPoint. The analytical work and especially the communication happen in collaboration with a colleague.
  • Additionally, you will contribute to the development of reports and dashboards in the theatre's analytics platform, which is built on Microsoft Fabric with Power BI as the visualization tool. Here you will work on translating sales and audience data into user-friendly reports and dashboards that support leaders and staff in making data-driven decisions. The work takes place in close collaboration with colleagues in the department and is based on the data models, KPIs, design principles, and reporting structures that are already established on the platform. As you get to know the platform, you will have the opportunity to independently further develop reports and contribute with new ideas for visualization and analysis.

Your professional competences

We imagine that you

  • Have a flair for and interest in numbers and data
  • Have good analytical skills
  • Have experience with Power BI or similar analytics and BI tools
  • Have experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Have experience with analysis of questionnaire data or similar data sources (an advantage, but not a requirement)
  • Have experience with SQL, data modelling or Microsoft Fabric, (an advantage, but not a requirement)
  • Are currently pursuing a relevant higher education degree

Your personal competences

You are curious about numbers and good at asking questions about data. What do the numbers really mean, and do they tell the whole story? You want to dig a little deeper and translate data into usable insights.

At the same time, you are curious about people, art and culture, and you are able to combine this curiosity with your professional analytical competences. The position requires that you as a person work thoroughly and in a structured way. In addition we place emphasis on independence and the ability to be a step ahead in planning/thinking.

In return we offer…

A department with a positive spirit and a good sense of camaraderie, where each person is a nerd in their own field. We take pride in the quality of the department's work and help and support each other in developing the best solutions. We all love theatre and the arts, and you will become part of a creative and inspiring environment at The Royal Danish Theatre.

The position is scheduled for 15 hours per week, and you will be employed on HK terms as a student. There will be flexibility regarding when you can schedule your hours to fit with your classes and exams.

You will report to the Head of Digital Customer Relations, Analysis and Planning, Anna Reinhard Danchell.
