Aarhus Water, working with future water technology, sustainable supply and development of solutions to ensure clean water and robust systems in a growing city, is establishing a new directorate for IT, OT and digitalisation. As CTO you will therefore be responsible for our IT operations and security and for the continued digital development of Aarhus Water.

The aim of establishing a new directorate is that our technology, data and digital solutions shall create even more value for customers, climate and society. As CTO you from the outset will assume a number of special areas of responsibility and contribute to the progress of ongoing projects:

• Information and cyber security
• Aarhus Water is critical infrastructure. You will help ensure a holistic and risk-based approach to information and cyber security, covering both IT and the interaction with OT. The work must support applicable requirements, an updated preparedness and the ability to prevent, detect and handle incidents.
• Safe operations and digital foundation
• IT is crucial for safe daily operations and supply security. You must ensure a robust IT infrastructure, sufficient capacity and a conscious approach to architecture and system choices. Together with those responsible for OT and supply operations, you shall strengthen the link between IT and the technologies that control and monitor the supply, including interfaces, security and readiness.
• Digitalisation strategy – next move
• The work on a digitalisation strategy for the whole Aarhus Water is already underway. As CTO you shall in collaboration with the head of digitalisation for supply and Aarhus ReWater build on the started work and contribute to ensuring the strategy has a clear direction, anchoring and coherence with the organisation's needs. This happens in close cooperation with other relevant areas as well as external partners nationally and globally. The collaboration should also create clarity about responsibility and decision mandate in the strategy's next phases.
• Portfolio management of digital projects
• Aarhus Water has many digital projects and development needs. You shall help further develop and anchor a common process where initiatives are evaluated and prioritised in the organisation. The process should provide an overview of dependencies, capacity and progress, and differentiate between needs in ongoing IT and OT operations and actual digitalisation projects.
• AI
• AI is one of Aarhus Vand's strategic development areas. You shall together with the organisation further develop the frameworks and competencies that make it possible to use AI responsibly to support employees, operations and innovation. The work should be integrated into the joint governance of data, technology and security and build on the initiatives that are already in progress.

ITD department

As CTO you will become the head of the IT and Digitalisation department (ITD). The department currently consists of 20 employees. The group includes IT support staff, system administrators, IT project managers, data analysts, developers and data and solutions architects. In line with our strategic focus on IT, technology and digitalisation, the organisation will grow and strengthen, and you will have a key role as CTO in this development.

You will report to CEO Karina Topp and join the director group, which besides you consists of the head of supply, strategy, project and the finance director.

You shall facilitate that operations and development proceed in accordance with the organisation's needs and ambitions, while ITD contributes with professional insight, governance and strategic perspective. Your profile

We imagine that you

• Have solid practical experience as CTO or CIO. It is not a requirement that you have worked in the utilities sector.
• Have a relevant longer higher education – supplemented with a leadership education.
• Are able to balance security requirements with progress, development and enablement of the organisation
• Have a calm and reflective approach and can drive development through curiosity and co-creation with colleagues
• Are able to set a clear direction, even when the answers are not given in advance, and you create progress through collaboration with people who bring different perspectives and competencies into play.
