Then we actually quite urgently need you. Right now.

We could of course write that HEG is looking for an experienced finance assistant to handle a broad portfolio of financial tasks .

But that doesn’t really tell who we’re looking for.

For we are looking for you who can open Navision Stat and navigate around. You who can look at a reconciliation and feel compelled to find the 37 kroner that shouldn’t be there, and most of all you who have tried your hand at finance in an educational institution and therefore know that taximeter does not necessarily have anything to do with a taxi ride.

We need experience, and someone who can take hold.

There is a lot going on at HEG – and it can be felt in our finance function as well.

Therefore we are looking for an experienced finance profile who can quickly step into the engine room and help create stability in daily financial operations for the rest of 2026.

This is not a position where you primarily sit on the sidelines and build models for how others should do the work.

You need to get on the field.

Understand the numbers, see through the connections, make things add up, and take action yourself when needed.

You know your craft, and preferably our world too.

The quickest way into the job is if you already know the finances of an educational institution.

Then you know that activity, subsidies and finances are closely linked. You may know the taximeter system and the logic behind it. You have experience with Navision Stat – and if you’ve been involved with an year-end close, we certainly won’t mind either.

But there is also another path in.

Perhaps you come from another public or self-financed organization. Perhaps you are an experienced controller or accounting profile with really solid command of financial craft.

Then you don’t need to know the education sector beforehand.

On the other hand you must be eager to learn its particular logics – and be the type who not only analyzes and follows up, but also can go down into the accounts, prepare the reconciliation and solve the concrete task.

Your educational title is therefore not decisive. Your experience, your financial expertise and your ability to quickly become part of the operation matter.

What will you get your hands on?

It depends a bit on what you bring. But you should be ready for, among other things

• Navision Stat and ongoing financial operations
• reconciliations and status accounts
• accounts receivable management
• project economics and financial follow-up
• activity, subsidies and taximeter logics
• documentation and workflows in a self-financed educational institution
• tasks and preparation around year-end close
• and of course the financial tasks that arise along the way, because reality rarely follows the Excel sheet as neatly as one would wish.

In short: You must be able to think financially, and you must want to do finance.

Finance is not what we are here for, but it makes many other things succeed.

At HEG, finance isn’t just numbers, chart of accounts and reconciliations.

Therefore it also matters how you work with others.

That you ask questions when something doesn’t make sense, that you share what you know, that you can make finance understandable for people who may not themselves spend their days in a spreadsheet, and that you want to become part of a team where we help each other succeed.

The position is temporary until 31 December 2026 , and we would love to have you on board as soon as possible .

Therefore we will not necessarily wait for a specific date to get to know you.

We hold interviews on an ongoing basis and hire when we meet the right person.

Your primary workplace will be HEG in Aars.

Salary and terms follow the applicable collective agreement.
