When an operation needs to be performed, many things must work. As a porter in the operating room, you play an important role in keeping everyday life in balance. You help with patient transport, positioning and practical tasks so that the operations can proceed as smoothly as possible.

We are looking for a porter for a permanent position of 37 hours per week in the Porter Function at Svendborg Hospital. You will become part of Logistics Service, where we support the hospital’s daily operations.

What does the job involve?

Your tasks will include, among others

• Internal patient transport at Svendborg Hospital.
• Positioning and transferring patients in connection with surgeries.
• Handling of waste and practical assistance to the operating room.

You will become part of the Logistics Department at OUH, which handles a wide range of tasks that support the hospital’s daily operations and contribute to a well-functioning everyday life for patients, staff and relatives. The department includes several areas, including supply, sterilisation, food production, logistics service, on-call scheduling, and development and relocation to the new OUH.

The Logistics Department is part of the Service Center, which consists of about 1,300 employees distributed across 4 departments: the Logistics Department, Cleaning and Hospital Services, Building Operations and Service, and Preparation and Relocation.

Salary and employment

Working hours are generally Monday to Friday from 7:00 to 18:00. Changes may occur depending on operational needs.
