In Rudersdal Municipality we are seeking a building case handler who thrives with a varied daily life and wants to make a difference for citizens, homeowners and businesses. With us you get an exciting combination of tasks within both building case processing and mold/vapor cases.

About half of your time you will participate in the department's work with mold/vapor cases, where you help ensure healthy housing for the municipality's citizens. The other half of the time you will work with building case processing, primarily in commercial construction and multi-dwelling buildings. The complexity of cases is adjusted to your experience and competences.

About the job You get a varied everyday life with a high degree of independence and close collaboration with colleagues, citizens, consultants and other authorities. Citizen dialogue and exercising authority in the form of decisions are central parts of task solving.

Your tasks will among other things be

• Ensure progress and coordination in cases from start to finish
• Conduct dialogue with citizens, landlords, consultants and other relevant actors
• Participate in inspections and follow-up on concrete cases
• Handle mold/vapor cases
• Prepare decisions, orders and other authority communication
• Handle building applications and other building cases
• Contribute to good and professional citizen service, including participation in the telephone duty.

About you You may have a background as a building technician, engineer, architect or another relevant education. The most important is that you have an interest in dialogue with citizens and consultants, authority work and construction-technical issues.

We expect that you

• Work structured and independently
• Have good collaboration and coordination skills
• Thrive in the intersection between technology, law and exercising authority
• Are familiar with the authority role and can handle dialogues where different interests may be at stake
• Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and orally
• Have experience with the building case area, including knowledge of the Building Act, Building Regulations and Planning Act
• Thrive in dialog with citizens, colleagues and external partners.

About Byplan You will become part of Byplan with 23 colleagues, who work with building case processing, local and municipal planning, buildings worthy of preservation and protection, urban development and strategic development projects.

We are a department with high professionalism and a strong collegial community, where we work closely across disciplines, and where sparring and knowledge sharing is a natural part of everyday life. Byplan is characterized by a good working environment and a strong social culture, where we arrange voluntary activities such as shelter trips, quiz evenings, Friday events and other social activities that contribute to the community.

As a building case handler you will become part of Team Construction and Architecture, which consists of 12 building case handlers with different construction technical backgrounds. The team has a broad task portfolio, including among other things building case processing, Building and Housing Register, handling of legalisation cases and enforcement of local plans.

We are based at the town hall in Holte, where we among other things have a fantastic prize-winning canteen. We prefer to be physically present at the workplace, but there is also the possibility of occasional weekly home-working days.

Conditions of employment The position is 37 hours per week. Salary and employment conditions in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Job start is February 1, 2027 and preferably earlier if possible.
