Due to expansion, Team 3 at Bakkehuset is seeking pedagogical staff

Bakkehuset Team 3 is seeking pedagogically trained staff for permanent positions and temporary contracts.

Bakkehuset is Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality's special offer for adults with significant and long-term reduced physical and mental capacity. At Bakkehuset there is room for 38 residents. We are about 220 dedicated employees. The target group is people with pronounced developmental disability, often with accompanying disabilities such as epilepsy, spasticity, autism, communication difficulties, etc.

In Team 3 you will become part of a team of about 30 employees who collaborate across professions in small teams around the residents.

The residents in Team 3 are adults with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. There are several residents with challenging behavior, epilepsy and sensory disturbances.

We meet the residents with a compensatory and specially tailored approach that accommodates individual needs and the ways they sense, understand and navigate the world. Most require substantial support in all daily activities, including personal care and medication. Our professional methods are based on relationship-oriented pedagogy, where interaction and recognition together with structure, professional systematicity and recognizability are the core elements.

The positions include alternating working hours, day – evening and weekend shifts. We work every 2nd or 3rd weekend depending on the appointment level.

• That you are pedagogically educated, preferably with experience within disability and psychiatry.
• Adaptable in a complex everyday life, because we work with many needs
• Professionally ambitious on behalf of your team
• That you can independently develop pedagogical action plans, including milestones, follow-up and evaluation.
• Thrive in work with professional and personal development
• Can see the joy in relationship work and the small progress
• Have experience with the target group and challenging behavior
• Can/ will work with KRAP and a recovery-oriented rehabilitative approach
• Can set goals and follow up pedagogical initiatives and tools
• Preferably experience working with people with autism
