About the job

We are looking for a duo-leader – a district leader who will work together in a partnership in the new district Doktorparken. In the care sector of Randers municipality we have decided that there should be 2 district leaders in each of our districts. It is important that we have the necessary capacity to develop future elderly care for citizens in home care in Randers municipality. You will help build new interdisciplinary teams, focusing on holistic care, professional freedom and greater influence for the citizens.

Are you a nurse with strong leadership skills, ability to lead collaboration, and do you burn to create development and job satisfaction? Then you now have the opportunity to become part of a care area where we prioritise both staff well-being and quality in nursing, care and service highly.

Who are we

We are a workplace that thinks in wholes and development with a big focus on professional competencies. We work cross-disciplinary and with the citizen's needs and goals at the center.

In the district we currently have about 80 permanent, skilled, engaged and kind colleagues, where well-being, collaboration and professional development go hand in hand. Here there is not far from laughter to professional discussions, and we help each other – also when it is busy.

You will become a duo-leader with me; Hanne, where we as leadership colleagues must have a close daily collaboration, just as we will both share and be together on tasks. I have been a district leader in the municipality for 15 years with different tasks. Among my personal values I highlight great trust in leadership colleagues and employees in task solving. I work from a dialog-based and liberating leadership. I am concerned with responsibility and professionalism, which you will also experience as central in my leadership style. We must complement each other, so we can benefit from each other's strengths.

You will also be part of our leadership team of 18 leaders from Area West and report to the area manager.

You will engage in close collaboration with the team, where we share responsibility, tasks and decision-making power.

We work together on the vision; “Together we go first”, where we focus on professional leadership and are committed to translating knowledge and methods that work in practice. Leader well-being is of great importance to us, we do this among other things by asking each other, listening openly and developing together. We focus on succeeding in unity.

The task

We are in the middle of an exciting development of elderly care based on the Elderly Act, where you will be an important part of leading the implementation and helping to maintain and build a rehabilitative culture – including building interdisciplinary teams consisting of social and health care helpers, social- and health care assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and nurses.

We are seeking a visionary and collaborative district leader who can go before and gain followers with an appreciative and trustful leadership style. You are a cultural bearer and must dare to set clear direction for the employees. You must be willing to take responsibility for daily operations and finances, as well as the will and ability to reach established goals.

As duo-leaders you have, among other things, your own budget responsibility, responsibility for hiring and terminating employment, responsibility for a high level of professionalism in close cooperation with district nurses and district therapists.

As a district leader you will have employees in day and evening shifts, and you have daily close collaboration with the other district leaders in the West.

We are looking for you, who…

  • Have a nursing professional background, preferably with leadership experience and leadership training
  • Have competencies in change management and team development
  • Are good at building relationships and motivating employees
  • Can set direction and work for good coherence, and develop a good working environment together with employees
  • Have insight into the elderly area and interest in interdisciplinary collaboration
