Skilled and visionary chief physician sought for Clinic 2 with primary affiliation to the Team for Personality Disorders – Regions Hospital Gødstrup

We are seeking a senior consultant (overlæge) with a start date January 1, 2027 or by agreement. The position is a permanent role and, as a rule, a full-time position with a work location in Gødstrup.

Psychiatry at Regionshospitalet Gødstrup handles the general psychiatric function in the western part of the Central Denmark Region. Clinic 2 is one of three clinics, and the Team for Personality Disorders is one of fourteen teams in the adult outpatient unit. We are a professionally strong team, continually improving, and you will join a multidisciplinary team with a specialist psychologist, psychologists, nurses and secretaries.

We aim to deliver high-quality services to our patients and relatives and are therefore committed to continuously developing our professional expertise and treatment methods so that we can provide the best diagnostic and treatment options, and we value collaboration with other clinics and cross-disciplinary partners.

In this position you will become part of Clinic 2 and have primary affiliation to the Team for Personality Disorders, where you will have the opportunity to make your mark on the field and ensure that our patients receive a professionally qualified diagnostic assessment and treatment in accordance with the professional standards in the area. In addition, there are good opportunities for professional community and sparring with other clinics.

We are looking for a senior consultant who

• has broad psychiatric knowledge, experience and interest in affective disorders and especially personality disorders
• has extensive experience with psychiatric disorders and treatment options
• has solid experience with psychopathology, differential diagnosis and comorbidity disorders
• is interested in developing and shaping the area and contributing to the strengthening of the outpatient offer
• is prepared to participate in teaching and development activities, including supervising younger doctors
• understands the framework conditions applicable to public psychiatry, including working to ensure the diagnostic and treatment guarantees
• possesses personal integrity, flexibility and good collaboration skills and at the same time has good communication skills and understands the value of a well-functioning cross-disciplinary collaboration
• can meet the assessment criteria for specialists set by the Central Denmark Region

If you have an interest in leadership, research or psychotherapy, there are good development opportunities and support for relevant competence development or the possibility to become the psychotherapist responsible senior consultant. If you are interested in on-call work, you can join the on-call team. In addition, we are flexible regarding personal and professional wishes.

If you live in or around Aarhus, you will, together with colleagues, have the option to ride the psychiatric bus between Aarhus and Gødstrup to get started with the day’s tasks even before you arrive in Gødstrup.

Employment terms

Líon and employment terms in accordance with the current collective agreement between the Association of Specialists and Danske Regioner. The applicant is assessed based on the 7 doctor roles. Please submit your application including documentation of competence within the specialist roles.
