About the job

Would you like to help develop the education of the dermatologists of the future – and at the same time contribute to creating systematic knowledge about how best to educate younger doctors?

We are seeking an educationally responsible chief physician (UAO) in dermatology for the Department of Skin Diseases, Zealand University Hospital, Roskilde, with commencement February 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

We are seeking a specialist who has documented experience with medical postgraduate education and educational tasks, and who wishes to take clear responsibility for the ongoing development of the department's educational environment.

As UAO you will play a central role in creating coherence, quality and direction in medical postgraduate education. You have the overall responsibility for the educational area and work closely on developing the department's educational environment. An important part of the role is collaboration with the specialists who are the liaisons for the department's various clinical functions and tasks, so that education is naturally integrated into the clinical everyday life.

Your tasks

As UAO you will have both operational duties and a development responsibility.

You shall, among other things

  • plan and coordinate educational programs for the department's trainees in education
  • ensure that educational plans, competence goals and assessments are handled in a timely manner
  • monitor the progress and educational needs of the training doctors
  • support and develop the group of clinical supervisors and tutors
  • ensure good opportunities for supervision, feedback and reflection in everyday clinical practice
  • collaborate with the specialists who are the liaisons for the department's clinical functions and tasks to create good and relevant learning opportunities
  • plan and develop the department's teaching activities together with relevant colleagues
  • work closely with the department's educational coordinating junior doctor (UKYL)
  • follow up on the trainees' evaluations and identify areas where the educational environment can be improved
  • coordinate and follow up on education-related action plans, evaluations and inspector visits
  • collaborate with the hospital's and region's other educational organizations
  • represent the department at relevant educational forums
  • together with the department management, participate in the recruitment of doctors into main training positions

You must also help ensure that education does not become a separate track alongside clinical operations, but is integrated into the department's daily work and patient care.

Motivated application and CV electronically. The professional assessment will be based on the applicant's information and documentation of competencies within the seven medical competencies.

Application deadline: 25.11.26. Interviews in week 49.

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the collective agreement. There is an obligation to disclose secondary employment. A child-safety background check will be requested upon offer of employment.

Further information can be obtained from Chief Physician Lars Erik Bryld at [email protected] or by phone at 47 32 26 53.

Employment area

Region Zealand and Region Capital will become Region East Denmark on 1 January 2027 as a result of the health reform. Your area of employment will be Region East Denmark with all its associated organizational units.
