About the job

As a pedagogue in the OBS classes you will be part of a department that collaborates in open dialogue and equally on the different tasks between teachers and pedagogues. You will have ample opportunity to make your mark on the work.

We are seeking a pedagogue for a full-time position with start on 1 January 2027.

About us

Skt. Klemensskolen is located in the southern part of Odense near green areas by the Odense River. The school has good facilities and is well maintained, has 45 engaged colleagues in the school part and SFO, as well as 440 happy and well-functioning students and a lively and positive parent community. Skt. Klemensskolen is a school with a pleasant and cheerful collegial atmosphere. We place emphasis on a good working environment - both for the individual teacher/pedagogue's work in the classrooms, in SFO and in the collaboration in various teams and in relation to management and the parent community.

We are seeking a trained pedagogue who can join the school’s OBS department. In the department there are about 18 - 21 students spread across 3 smaller classes, where they are divided by age. We have an primary year class with students from 0. - 3. grade (2.X), a middle school class with students from 4 .– 6. grade (5.X) and finally a secondary school class with students from 7. – 9. grade (8.X).

There are few fixed adults attached to each class, and we are with the students all day, both in teaching and in breaks. The students are admitted through PPR to a place in an OBS class.

About you and the job

We expect that you are a trained pedagogue and are passionate about working with students with special challenges in behavior, contact and well-being. A pedagogue who has the ability to maintain focus on the pupil’s resources in daily work. A pedagogue who is able to take responsibility for the relationship to the individual child and for the class’s overall well-being.

Since our school day is characterized by a clear structure with a focus on a predictable school day for the students, we are looking for an adult who understands how to adjust demands and expectations so that the student can succeed.

Teaching in the OBS classes is planned according to the individual child’s academic level. We alternately work with joint teaching and individual instruction, where the student sits at a fixed work station. We work to strengthen the students’ social, personal and emotional competences based on an appreciative human view. We especially focus on creating a good and trusting relationship with the students.

Therefore the students are met at their individual challenges and needs, where pedagogical methods in some contexts will vary from student to student. We work to enable the students to handle the challenges they are faced with, both by practicing different strategies in different situations both academically and socially. As part of the work in the OBS department there is close collaboration with PPR.

We expect that you

  • Are a trained pedagogue, preferably with experience in working with students with challenges in behaviour, contact and well-being.
  • Will and can join a self-managing department with very close collaboration between pedagogues and teachers.
  • Are mentally and physically robust.
  • Possess a strong relationship-building competence in working with children who need authentic, clear and caring adults.
  • Can engage in close cooperation with parents and external partners.
  • Can remain calm and maintain an overview in hectic situations.
  • Like to work in a structured way with room for ongoing adjustments.
  • Are accustomed to extensive writing, e.g. attention plans, logbooks, student descriptions and action plans.
