Who are we

The Milk Way Children's House is an age-integrated institution currently housing about 140 lovely children, of whom at present 100 are kindergarten children distributed across 5 rooms, of which one group is in a house of its own and 42 nursery children distributed across 3 rooms. The kindergarten and the nursery have a close collaboration as an important part of the transition from nursery to kindergarten, including the "Krudtugleklub" on Fridays.

We value play, care and security in our meeting with the children. Collegially, the values are: honesty, being real, and that we believe the best in each other and each others' intentions. We use feedback and feed-forward in our sparring with one another and we want to develop our practice together. We actively work with the strengthened curriculum and action-learning programs with a view to continuing to develop pedagogy at Mælkevejen.

We are part of the area institution Hinnerup Øst, which besides Mælkevejen consists of Børnehuset Nørreskoven, Børnehuset Rønbækken, Børnehuset Elmegården, Børnehuset Hop og Leg and Børnehuset Engen. We work closely together around common development goals and projects, but there is also room for the institutions to work with individual goals. This autumn we start a project focused on play as a pedagogical foundation, where several in the staff group will undergo a competency development program focusing on common language and direction in early childhood education.

We continuously call candidates to interviews and close the case as soon as we have the right employee. So hurry to apply if Milk Way should be your future workplace.

For more information you can contact the daily manager Anne Sofie Koch at 21 31 97 41. You are welcome to call and arrange a visit so you can see the framework you are applying into.

Favrskov Municipality can only receive applications submitted electronically. It is a condition of employment that the person we wish to employ has not been convicted of offenses that would render them unsuitable for the position. A criminal record check will therefore be obtained for the candidate who is offered employment.
