Educator wanted - do you dare to play?

Can you see yourself in a everyday life where a sandcastle suddenly becomes a castle, a stick becomes a sword, and a child needs you to sit beside them and help the play along?

So could you be the person we are looking for at Børnehuset Solstrålen.

We are seeking a pedagogue for our kindergarten – a pedagogue who wants to be close to the children, be curious with them and make a difference in the small and big moments throughout the day.

We are not looking for a particular type. We are looking for a pedagogue who sees that children are different – and that this is precisely a strength in a children's community.

With us it's important that you look for opportunities rather than limitations. That you are curious about what lies behind a child's actions, and that you can adjust yourself and your pedagogy when a child or a group of children needs something different.

You don't have to be the one who always has the good idea. But we hope you are willing to go along with the children's ideas. That you dare to sit on the floor. Build. Explore. Follow an imagination. Help a child into the play. Create calm when there is too much. And sometimes just be the adult who is right there.

A everyday life with the children at the center At Solstrålen we are normed for 144 children, 100 kindergarten children distributed across 4 rooms and 44 infants distributed across 4 rooms. We have good physical facilities, a large playground and a local community that we like to use.

We can go to the `forest`, use the gym, visit the library or culture house – but the good pedagogical everyday life does not have to take place far away. It can just as well arise on the floor of the room.

This is where we work with our resource-oriented view of children. We continually practice creating learning environments where children have the opportunity to participate, play, engage and be part of the community.

We work both in the fixed groups, across rooms and in smaller groups. We are focused on how our organisation and the adults' positions can create more calm, presence and opportunities for participation for the children.

You will not be alone in the task. We believe that good pedagogy becomes even better when we share it with each other. Therefore we work in teams and use each other for sparring, reflection and development of practice. We have preparation time, so there is also an opportunity to work systematically with our professional knowledge and core task.

And we believe that work life should also include laughter, good conversations and community. We take care of each other – and we also expect that we each contribute to the community.

The most important for us is not how many years you have on your CV.

The most important is how you meet the children, your colleagues and the common task.

We are seeking a pedagogue for the kindergarten in a 34-37 hour position.

Employment terms: Starting January 1, 2027
