About the job

in teaching, leisure-time pedagogy and inclusive children's communities

There is a 32-hour position starting on 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter

For our general SFO at Jetsmark School, we are looking for a person with a strong pedagogical profile who can balance the school’s everyday life; between the teaching and leisure parts.

We are seeking a pedagogue who has knowledge of, understanding of and is exploratory in creating structure, security and recognizability in the transition from teaching to the leisure part.

A pedagogue who has the competencies to collaborate with teachers regarding the students' active participation in the academic teaching as well as their personal development and formation – and a pedagogue who actively participates in creating the framework for a playful, exploratory and learning leisure phase together with the rest of the SFO team.

We are seeking a pedagogue who rests in a strong professional competence – who can justify their pedagogical choices, take responsibility and initiative to translate reflections into action.

We are looking for a pedagogue who can contribute with an independent pedagogical perspective on the students' learning and well-being – is curious about others’ professionalities and dares, in a respectful, constructive and curious manner, to challenge existing practices.

In the SFO we work with Science Cultural Bearers, Academic Lighthouses, Rabalder (collaboration with the Cultural School) and pedagogical hosting.

Jetsmark School is a school on two campuses. Our special department is located on Skolevej in Kaas, while the main school is a little over a kilometer away on Jetsmark Kirkevej.

The special department is Jammerbugt Municipality’s offering for students with massive learning difficulties. In the school part we have children from 0th to 10th grade, while we offer SFO for children from 0th to 7th grade. We currently have 36 children distributed over 5 classes.

The general school is primarily a two-track school, some year groups have three tracks with a total student population of around 550 pupils. Our SFO accommodates around 150 children.

In all our departments we uphold an affirming and resource-oriented view of children, where we look beyond behavior, believe that all children do well if they can, and incorporate the children’s perspectives in the decisions that concern them.

We also value a strong and trusting collaboration with the parents, so that together we can create the best framework for the children. We work with children’s communities and believe that well-being and development are best created within the framework of strong communities – which we also expect our parents to contribute to.

As a pedagogue at Jetsmark School you will become part of an established team around our SFO, just as you should expect to participate as a school pedagogue in collaboration with the teachers of the respective year groups.

At Jetsmark School, school pedagogues primarily work with preschool from 1 April and with 0th–3rd grade, but we also expect that you can continue into the school progression if deemed necessary.

A close and committed team collaboration is therefore a fundamental framework for succeeding with our children. Therefore we expect you to join a professional learning and working community with other pedagogues, teachers – and in general all of us who have daily work at the school.

We deliberately and purposefully work to maintain a work environment that is characterized by openness, trust and transparency.

We expect you to actively contribute to a good working environment, bring challenges in where they can be solved and contribute constructively to finding solutions that benefit colleagues, children and parents. A good working environment is not handed to us – we create it ourselves. The goal is job satisfaction and a sense of not standing alone with a pedagogical challenge.

We expect that you

  • are a trained pedagogue with strong abilities for pedagogical reflection
  • have the ability to see the children’s resources and focus on creating good children’s communities that can accommodate and contribute to each child’s development and well-being
  • are initiative-taking and can contribute to creating good activities for the children
  • are stable in terms of attendance and collaboration
  • exert clear pedagogical (class) leadership and act as a positive role model for colleagues, children and parents
  • possess strong human and professional competencies
  • are open to and eager to contribute to close collaboration
  • contribute with joy and positive energy in daily life, parental cooperation and collaboration with colleagues and management
  • work with and actively contribute to internal development initiatives

We offer

  • an teaching and leisure-time segment with a focus on creating good transitions between teaching and leisure, shared pedagogical reflection and close collaboration
  • an exciting pedagogical workplace with competent and engaged colleagues
  • a framework for team collaboration: both for the class team and the overall pedagogical staff group
  • room for development and openness to follow your initiatives
