Skovbo is a 24-hour and support residence for children and youths with significant and lasting functional impairments, as well as autism and similar pervasive developmental disorders. All children and youths at Skovbo are developmentally delayed and have slowed development. The level of functioning is often cognitively limited, so verbal language may not develop for some children at Skovbo. In addition, there is a reduced ability to understand and adapt, particularly in social contexts.

This is accompanied for several children and youths at Skovbo by comorbidity and somatic accompanying disabilities. The offer consists of three wings: Blæksprutten (the Octopus), Lærken (the Lark) and Sommerfuglen (the Butterfly), of which one wing has a youth group.

If you have experience with the target group it is of course a plus, but if you just dream of getting into it, feel free to apply for the position. We ensure that everyone receives thorough onboarding and a mentor program. We will support you continuously throughout the first year, during which you will also have several teaching days in, among other things, pedagogical and health-professional approaches with our own health and pedagogical coordinators, who will also support you continuously.

There is internal medication training, transfer training, etc., and follow-ups with management in your startup period. In addition, we prioritize that all permanent staff complete the one-year autism pilot training.

Skovbo's core task is to take care of the daily care and interest for children and youths with functional impairments in close interaction with their families. We ensure that their physical and psychological needs are met, and we build the individual’s competences to participate in social relations, experience well-being, and receive learning.

Practical

• The position: 32–37 hours per week
• Working hours: between 6:00 and 22:00 (morning/evening)
• Weekend services: every other or every third weekend by agreement
• Salary and terms of employment: according to current collective agreement and New Salary

Salary and terms of employment are determined according to the applicable collective agreement, including the established provisions regarding local wage formation.
