With us you will become a central part of a team, where you take ownership of your tasks. You will be an important part of the house with the opportunity to make independent decisions, but also spar with your colleagues daily.

In your team you will follow an annual wheel that provides time for professional deepening of the pedagogical effort as well as professional supervision. Your work is built on fixed daily structures, but you will still never experience that two days are the same.

It is an advantage that you

• Have a relevant pedagogical or health professional education – such as pedagogue, pedagogical assistant, teacher, social worker, occupational and physiotherapist, SOSU assistant or nurse (must have interest in the pedagogical area)
• Have knowledge of autism, TEACCH and working with people with complex developmental challenges
• Have a professionalism that enables you to keep an overview and make decisions under pressure
• Have a high degree of empathy, honesty and are willing to take responsibility
• Have experience with personal care
• Have a driving license B

About HabitusHuset Mejlskov

We are a newly started pedagogical residential facility that forms the framework for citizens with complex developmental disorders. The house is located in a scenic and quiet area in northwest Funen. The offering is surrounded by open green landscapes, forest areas and meadow trails, within walking distance to the beach. The surroundings are characterized by homeliness, clarity and sensory-stimulating opportunities that create security and support the residents’ well-being and development.

The surroundings provide good opportunities for nature-based activities, peaceful walks, structure in daily life and an environment where residents can develop at a pace and in a way that matches their individual needs.

As a §104, 107 and 108 offer, each resident has their own apartment and also shares common areas both indoors and outdoors, which creates opportunities for residents to socialise to the extent they are able, to go out into nature and develop through the many sensory impressions they find there and at the same time have the opportunity to withdraw when they need to find calm.

Although we are a new residential care facility, we already have as part of Habitus a strong professionally grounded pedagogical method, but it is also an opportunity for you to be part of creating a new culture and building the right structures around our residents that best support them in their development

You can expect a variable everyday life, where the focus is both on professional and personal development. There are fixed teams around the residents, where we as a rule work with 1:1 staffing, 14 or 24 hour shifts. We are also looking for night shifts.
