About the job

Do you have experience with examination administration? Do you love ensuring efficient and good processes? Do you like having dialogue with students and teachers? Is good collaboration with colleagues priceless?

In Curriculum Planning and Examinations there is a colleague who is retiring, and we are therefore looking for a new engaged, professionally skilled and friendly colleague.

About the Unit for Curriculum Planning and Examinations

Curriculum Planning and Examinations are two teams in one unit. In total there are 6 curriculum planners and in the Examinations team there are 23 student administrative staff who work with registration and examination administration.

The available position is in the Examinations team, where you will work closely with experienced colleagues, who vary widely in age. A hallmark of the Examinations team is that it is a workplace where people want to stay. In Examinations we are divided into work communities related to the institutes, but we also have cross-cutting groups such as a systems group, a dissemination group, a local pilot group, and more, which coordinate and solve challenges across.

We have close collaboration with the institutes and know the teachers and our education programs well. We work based on common rules at AU (Aarhus University).

Your tasks

You will be responsible for planning and supporting the students' education and examination paths. This includes setting up courses, projects and examinations in our systems, booking examiners and rooms, and close dialogue with teachers, study leaders and students.

You will work with several programs, some of which have international students, so good English skills are important. We have a daily telephone hour from 10:00 to 11:30, which we cover on a rotating basis, as well as mail inboxes where we advise and help students.

In addition to supporting the exam planning, depending on your profile you will also take part in cross-unit tasks in the unit, such as assisting students in our physical Student Hub and giving presentations for students and teachers at the start of the study year.

We are in the process of switching the IT exam system to WISEflow and we will also get a new examiner allocation system (Censorum), which will be national. In general, we are working to become more digital.

Qualifications and competencies

You may either have substantial experience from student administration, be at the start of your career, or be a recent graduate with a professional bachelor’s degree in public administration or an office education.

We emphasize the following

  • Experience with student administration or administration is welcome
  • Good verbal and written language skills in both Danish and English
  • Ability to communicate professionally and in a friendly manner
  • Love to plan, structure and keep track of processes
  • Ability to prioritize and maintain overview of many tasks
  • Good collaboration skills, willingness to share knowledge and take responsibility and create positive changes
  • You adapt easily to learn new things, e.g., we are currently onboarding several new IT systems
  • In terms of personal competencies we value independence, service-mindedness and ability to cooperate

We offer

  • A wonderful workplace with a good working environment
  • Thorough onboarding, experienced colleagues and good opportunities for professional development
  • A team that values good collaboration, quality and room for ideas and humor. We have a gift fund, shared breakfast and a friendly tone

  • A workplace in beautiful surroundings close to public transport
  • Many collaborative relationships across the university
