Electrician vocational teacher at EUC Syd Haderslev

Are you an experienced electrician who would like to pass on your professional knowledge to the next generation?

We are seeking a technically skilled and engaged electrician for a permanent full-time position as a vocational teacher at EUC Syd in Haderslev.

As a vocational teacher you will become part of our electrician team, where you, together with your colleagues, will teach and train the next generation of electricians. You will have the opportunity to use your industry experience in teaching and help develop the students' professional competencies.

You do not need teaching experience. The most important is that you have a solid professional background, a desire to work with people, and a willingness to develop yourself as a teacher.

Your tasks

As an electrician instructor you will have a varied day with teaching, practical tasks and collaboration with colleagues and companies.

Your tasks include, among other things

• Planning, implementing and evaluating teaching and the students' learning.
• Development of teaching materials in collaboration with your team.
• Teaching students with different academic and personal prerequisites.
• Teaching bridging students from the area's primary schools.
• Teaching international students, e.g. from our partner schools in Germany and France.
• Teaching school-placed/apprentice students.
• Special pedagogical support (SPS) for students with special needs.
• Collaboration with companies in the industry on the students' education.
• Collaboration with colleagues across subjects and departments.
• Participation in meetings, professional development and relevant continuing education.
• Practical tasks such as ordering materials, preparation and tidying of teaching rooms and workshops.

Your professional qualifications

We expect that you

• Are a trained electrician and have solid professional experience.
• Have strong electrical competencies in installations, electrical safety and applicable legislation.
• Have knowledge of relevant standards and rules, including the installations regulation and DS/HD 60364.
• Have experience with or understanding of sizing, verification and documentation of electrical installations.
• Are curious about new technology and keep yourself updated on developments in the industry.
• Are comfortable with IT and eager to use digital tools in teaching.

You will work closely with both vocational teachers and foundational subject teachers to create teaching that connects theory and practice.

You will also have the opportunity to bring your experience from the electrician trade into play, work with new technologies and contribute to the development of the electrician education.

Salary and terms of employment

Employment and remuneration are based on qualifications and in accordance with the Ministry of Education's circular no. 101 of February 1, 2007 on terms of employment for civil-service-like employees at institutions for vocational education and canteen departments.

There is a probationary period of 2 years as well as an attractive pension scheme for the position.

The workplace is, as a rule, EUC Syd's Haderslev campus, but activities may periodically take place at the school's other addresses.

Applicants without pedagogical education must be prepared to complete a pedagogical diploma program no later than 4 years after the appointment.
