About the job

Apply for this job Do you want to develop embedded software that controls and regulates physical systems in real time? At Airmaster you will be part of a cross-disciplinary technical environment with good and stable frameworks, where you work with C, Linux and advanced regulation. You will also have real influence on both your daily life and the development of the company's own software platform.

About the company

Airmaster A/S is a Danish development and manufacturing company with headquarters in Aars and specialization in decentralised ventilation. Since establishment in 1991, the company has developed energy-efficient ventilation solutions with a focus on creating a healthy indoor climate with low environmental impact. Today Airmaster has more than 120,000 installed units globally and over 200 employees.

Development and technology are a central part of Airmaster's business, and more than 10% of employees work in product development. Head office, R&D and production are consolidated in Aars, and the company forms an independent part of Lindab Group. The culture is founded on the values Integrity, Togetherness, Freedom and Dedication and is characterized by a flat structure, high professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility.

What do we offer?

You will become part of a growing software team with good and stable frameworks and a strong cross-disciplinary technical environment. Here you work closely with colleagues and specialists in areas such as software, hardware, thermodynamics, indoor climate and product management.

Development work is structured around 14-day sprints and a longer software roadmap, which creates a clear direction for the work. At the same time, you get great influence on your own daily life and your tasks as well as the opportunity to contribute to the further development of Airmaster's own embedded software platform.

You will also have access to Airmaster's test facilities, where products and software can be tested under different climatic conditions. This gives you the opportunity to follow the solution all the way from code and automated testing to testing on the physical ventilation system.

You will face professional challenges at the intersection of software, regulation and physical products, and become part of an environment where robust software, automated testing and modern development tools are a natural part of the work.

Primary tasks

As an Embedded Software Developer your core task is to develop the software that controls and regulates Airmaster's ventilation and indoor climate solutions. You will work on a Yocto-based Linux embedded platform, primarily with development in C, and you will have a central role in the further development of the company's own software platform. Your main tasks will include:

  • Develop and maintain embedded software for controlling and regulating complex systems with various sensors and actuators.
  • Work with real-time regulation of, among other things, flow, temperature, humidity, CO2 and pressure.
  • Further develop and deploy Airmaster's Aware platform across the product portfolio.
  • Participate in a research project in collaboration with Aalborg University and Teknologisk Institut focusing on advanced regulation, machine learning and optimization of energy consumption, temperature, humidity and comfort.
  • Develop and maintain automated unit and system tests as part of ongoing quality assurance.
  • Debug, optimize and quality assure software at both software and system levels.
  • Collaborate cross-disciplinary with specialists in thermodynamics, indoor climate, product management and hardware.

Your qualifications

We are looking for a software developer with an interest in embedded development and control of physical systems. You may be recent graduate or have 1-3 years of experience. The most important is that you have the right technical understanding, work in a structured way and want to develop professionally. At the same time we emphasize that you thrive in an environment where collaboration, knowledge sharing and respect for different disciplines are a natural part of everyday life.

You should be eager to contribute to the community and to find solutions together with colleagues across disciplines. We anticipate that you:

  • Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in software design, software technology, computer science, electronics or similar.
  • Have experience with or understanding of controlling and regulating real-time systems.
  • Have experience with or interest in C and C++ and embedded software development.
  • Have experience with or interest in Linux-based embedded environments.
  • Understand the connection between software and the physical processes that need to be controlled and regulated.
  • Work in a structured and analytical way with complex technical problems.
  • Have understanding of automated software testing, including unit and system tests.
  • Have an interest in modern AI-supported development tools.
  • Thrive in cross-disciplinary collaboration and can communicate technical solutions to colleagues with different technical backgrounds.
