Employment Consultants for Job and Business Service

Who we are looking for

We are seeking employment consultants, preferably with a professional foundation as social worker/social facilitator. If you have experience from public authority work and collaboration with companies, that is a particular advantage.

As an employment consultant you will have close collaboration with the citizen's workplace and other companies that can contribute to the person on sick leave returning to work. You will be required to seek paid hours and internships for the individual.

At the same time, you have classic authority responsibility, where you administer relevant legislation, make decisions and grant offers. You are also close to the citizen and may, for example, participate in meetings with their own doctor and strengthen skills that help the citizen back into employment.

Who we are

Job and Company Service is part of JobHerning in Herning Municipality, where we collaborate with a broad target group of citizens – citizens on sick leave, job seekers or citizens in flex jobs. In addition, we are out in the field in close cooperation with companies, trade unions and other relevant actors.

We are currently seeking two employment consultants for the sick leave / job clarification area.

In JobHerning citizen involvement plays a central role. We work purposefully to develop employment initiatives in collaboration with a number of other municipalities and researchers from Aalborg University at the Center for the Development of Citizen-Involving Employment Initiatives. Through dialogue, co-creation and individual pathways, the citizen's ownership and motivation are strengthened. The goal is to create more effective and meaningful routes to lasting employment.

We are looking for two employment consultants who

• have the ability to listen and be curious about the citizen's resources, motivation, relationships and perspectives and support the citizen in reaching there themselves
• see opportunities in the labor market and consider the interaction with the surrounding environment important in employment efforts
• are proactive by nature, action-oriented and results-focused in outreach corporate work
• can acquire knowledge of the legislative framework and are skilled at working in a structured way, keeping an overview and ensuring coherence in the process
• have broad knowledge of the labor market and the education system – familiarity with the local labor market in Herning and the surrounding municipalities is clearly an advantage
• have a driving license and the possibility to use their own car for work tasks

Your tasks will broadly be to

• keep the focus on the objective that the citizen returns to work as soon as possible through a good plan – both in dialogue with the citizen and with employers
• coordinate collaboration with employers and other partners, including conducting round-table discussions and serving as a mediator and initiator of the initiative
• support and follow up on the citizen's development and progression
• prepare written materials for use in public authority case processing

Start

A position from December 1, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter, and a position from April 1, 2027.

Salary and terms of employment according to applicable collective agreement and local salary arrangement.
