About the job

Can you lead and ensure the operation and development of a Home Care district? If so, you might be our new district leader.

We are looking for an engaged and visible leader for Home Care in Tønder East.

We are seeking a leader who thrives on balancing development and change with presence in daily operations. Based on the fundamental principles of proximity, self-determination and dignity in the Welfare Act, you will work purposefully with solutions that support a holistic approach and create coherence in citizens' life situations.

Healthy relationships

You will, with reference to the area manager, become part of a team of district leaders who collaborate and share knowledge across disciplines with the common goal of rethinking solutions, creating meaning and doing more of what works! You will, in collaboration with the other district leaders, help rethink a new type of elderly care that can withstand future demographic conditions. We do not have all the answers on how to tackle things, but hopefully you have many questions, and we will find the answers together.

You can expect to join a leadership team that helps, supports and challenges each other so that we can develop together.

The job

You will be the leader for a staff group that daily provides care for about 200 residents. As district leader, your tasks will span widely, but your core task will be to lead the operation and ongoing development of home care in Tønder East.

Co-creation across professions and a strong team-oriented leadership culture are the driving forces behind our development and innovation. We believe the best solutions are created in collaboration. We have a strong focus on the citizen's life and on how we best support the citizen's wishes. Therefore, home care, nursing and care centers work together and develop joint solutions. We call this Multifunctional Teams and it is our framework to put the citizen at the center of our work. The goal is that citizens have greater influence and better ability to shape their lives, despite health challenges.

We place great emphasis on good experiences in everyday life. We do this in collaboration with citizens, relatives and volunteers. We attach great importance to professionalism, and cross-disciplinary collaboration is essential for our daily task solving.

  • set a clear direction for development and contribute constructively to change processes
  • can drive change and development processes that secure followership
  • have strong skills in communication and dissemination
  • are trustworthy and listening
  • can guide and motivate your staff so high professional standards and well-being go hand in hand
  • work relationship-based and see the value of collaboration, shared learning and reflection
  • are empathetic, acknowledging and inclusive in your approach to colleagues and collaboration partners
  • have a value set that matches that citizens are at the center of our work and actions.

The framework for our work

With a basis in our welfare housing strategy, we continuously work to develop and future-proof our capacity, competencies and offerings. We do this, among other things, by focusing on competence development of our staff, digitalization, welfare technology and testing new services.

The Town of Tønder's value base and operating rules form a common cultural foundation for our collaboration both internally and externally. In addition, our core story is our compass in everyday life. It is the sum of our DNA and it makes visible the values we live by daily in our shared everyday with citizens:

Together, when life demands it

In Care & Welfare we put the person first and use our professionalism in everyday service. We see you – respect your choices and choose dignity in all stages of life. We provide respectful care when we think in workable solutions and reflect on what we see. Therefore, we always focus on the person before the diagnosis.

The position is full-time, and salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between KL and the negotiating organization.
