EUC Syd in Haderslev is seeking a canteen manager

Your daily life as canteen manager

As canteen manager you will be responsible for the daily operations of the canteen in Haderslev.

The current staffing consists of you as canteen manager and a flexible employee three days a week. This means that you must be able to work autonomously while also being good at planning and creating structure in everyday life.

You will among other things be responsible for

• Planning and production of today’s meals and the other assortment
• Menu planning with a focus on variety, season, quality, and economy
• Procurement and ordering of goods
• Self-check and food safety
• Daily coordination and allocation of tasks
• Sales, service and the good contact with students, course participants and employees
• Creating an inviting canteen where guests want to come back
• Collaboration with the other canteen managers and colleagues at EUC South.

You will also have the opportunity to bring in your own ideas. We want to develop our canteens, so there is room for both professional curiosity, creativity, and new ways of doing things.

• Have a relevant professional background within kitchen, gastronomy or canteen operations
• Have professional pride and an eye for both gastronomic and economic details
• Are creative and eager to contribute with inspiration and development in daily life
• Are service-minded, flexible and solution-oriented
• Can stay calm and maintain an overview, even when busy
• Thrive working independently and taking responsibility for daily operations
• Have a positive approach to people and can build good relations with both young people and adults
• Can handle the practical and physical tasks that naturally come with working in a canteen
• Are familiar with common IT and want to learn the systems we use.

The most important for us is not that you can tick off everything from day one. We are looking for a person with the right professionalism, attitude and willingness to take responsibility for the canteen and help develop it.

At EUC South we meet many students, course participants, staff and guests every day. For us, canteen operation is not only about serving food. The canteen is also a natural meeting point at the school and an important part of students’ everyday life. We want to serve food that tastes good, looks enticing, and makes you want to come back. At the same time, we work with sustainability, food waste, good ingredients and economically responsible operations.
