At Børnehuset Hartmannsvej we cherish the good everyday life. We take care to create safe surroundings where care, play and belonging are central, and where the children meet attentive adults.

We base our planning on the individual child and the group when we plan activities, play and pedagogical learning environments. We see children as competent and independent people who both need care, security and appropriate challenges.

We make an effort to meet the children with recognition, positive expectations and trust. For us, it is about creating a everyday life where the children feel seen, heard and understood – and where they get the opportunity to explore the world, develop and be part of a community.

We often work in smaller groups, so there is an opportunity for presence, concentration and good relationships. At the same time, we practice reflecting on and evaluating our pedagogical practice, so that together we can develop our pedagogical work for the benefit of the children.

Børnehuset Hartmannsvej is an independent institution, located in the heart of Charlottenlund close to forest, water and Charlottenlund station.

We have a close cooperation with Gentofte Municipality, but we own our own lovely villa, and the board consists solely of current parents.

We are a smaller preschool, normed for 20 toddlers and 36 preschool children. The children are distributed in 4 groups and we currently have 2 pedagogues and 1 assistant in each group.
