About the job

Do you dream of creating concerts, festivals, theatre experiences and events that bring people together and create memories?

Then become an event coordination apprentice at Kulturhusene, Taastrup Theatre & Musikhus and Høje-Taastrup Libraries, where you get the opportunity to try your hand at the whole process from idea to reality.

We are a cultural organization in rapid development, and we are looking for a committed apprentice who wants to help create even more strong cultural experiences for the municipality's residents.

Be part of a strong event team

Team Event & Marketing is behind the majority of the arrangements in our six houses. Alone at Taastrup Theatre & Musikhus we organize more than 100 live experiences each year for around 30,000 guests.

Together we create around 400 events each year in areas such as

  • Concerts
  • Theatre
  • Stand-up
  • Lectures
  • Children and family events
  • Creative workshops
  • Club and association events
  • Festivals and special events

You will become part of a dedicated team consisting of a team leader, a children’s culture coordinator, an event coordinator for the youth sector, a cultural mediator, a visual communications employee, an event facilitator and an external booker.

We work ambitiously, professionally and with room to breathe. Here you get both responsibility, support and the opportunity to develop in an environment where collaboration, humor and good ideas are an important part of daily life.

An apprenticeship with responsibility and development

As an event coordination apprentice, you will be an active part of the work to plan, produce and carry out arrangements. You will gain insight into many different aspects of the event industry and learn how professional cultural events are created from the first ideas to the last guest having gone home.

As you develop through the education, you will take on more responsibility and greater independence in the tasks.

It is a requirement that you have completed basic courses 1 and 2 in the event coordinator education (EUD, EUX or EUS)

Your tasks

You will, among other things, work with

  • Planning and production of concerts, festivals, lectures, theatre performances and other cultural events
  • Carrying out events at our six addresses
  • Contact and collaboration with artists, partners, associations and volunteers
  • Creative sparring with local cultural actors and enthusiasts
  • Preparation of production plans and contract drafts
  • PR, communications and marketing tasks
  • Creation of events on websites, ticket systems and social media
  • Administrative tasks related to events and productions

We imagine that you…

  • Are passionate about culture, events and experiences
  • Are curious, proactive and good at taking responsibility
  • Thrive with many balls in the air and a high level of activity
  • Are good at collaborating with different people
  • Want to learn and develop yourself professionally and personally
  • Are outgoing and good at hospitality – for residents, artists and colleagues

What you should know

Cultural experiences often happen when others are free. Therefore there will be evening and weekend work in the periods January-June and August-December.

In return, you get an exciting daily life where no two days are the same, and where you help create experiences that make a difference for thousands of people.

Practical information

  • The apprentice program is 2 years with schooling along the way
  • Working hours: 37 hours per week
  • Start date: January 1, 2027

Application deadline is Monday, November 16, 2026

Interviews will be held Monday, November 23, 2026.

Applications, CV and educational certificate/grade transcript are sent via Høje-Taastrup Municipality’s recruitment system.
